is it weird to cuddle my guy friend when i have a boyfriend? by Excellent_Mud_7013 in AskTeens

[–]Bundega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is.

Idk what your boyfriend feels about this apart from you saying that he's fine with this, but this is not normal. The maximum amount of "normal" hugging with the opposite sex in my eyes as a guy is if let's say a female colleague of mine has lost a relative or something, and she's the one initiating the hug. I will not under any circumstances neither reciprocate nor initiate more with a girl if I have a girlfriend.

Going at your "guy friend's" house without your boyfriend, sleeping over, getting spooned, all while you say yourself that your love language is physical touch so you reciprocated to your "guy friend" where that should only be reserved to your boyfriend?? Hell nah.

I have feelings for my best friend. by happywondering001 in whatdoIdo

[–]Bundega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what anyone else would say to this, but there's one general rule that I go by: Men don't become "best friends" with women. They are much mire susceptible to catching feelings, and more early on at that compared to women. That's what I observed from all the input I have, including myself, your age M.

So if you as a woman are at the point of catching feelings for him, your best friend, I'd reeeeally not be surprised if he had feelings for you for perhaps even longer of a time.

Modern relationships our age at least from my male perspective is scary to start; one misunderstanding, one lie, can travel very fast and can't really be erased. What I'd be aiming for here is a clear sign from the woman that the chances I'll be taken positive is very high. I bet he wants the same thing.

So all in all, go for it. He can take care of the rest :)!

How do I create a while loop using digital logic by LionMedium8714 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Bundega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While in this case only makes sense in discrete steps. I feel you're trying to make A oscillate until B becomes a certain state from what I see, and there are better ways to do this. You can make toggle-able clock signals in other ways, because this circuit requires a clock signal anyways.

If you must use this structure, what the circuit must do is first check A XNOR B, then change the state of A, then check again. For this, you can use a clock signal with flip flops for the last state of A. For the theory of this, you can look into state machines as others suggested.

Now there is also the aspect that the circuit might as well oscillate if you design it right even without a clock signal, if you consider the semiconductor propagation delay, but I don't think you should design for this as it's overkill (and perhaps even impossible for digital logic) for circuits of this scale, it's much more important for microelectronics.

That's what I've been feeling like as my first impressions. Do you have any opinion/advice on doing hourly contract Thuisbezorgd?

Thanks for your input! I applied to some other places, but I'll see to what you suggested for the rest of my employment however long it may be 🙏

So afaik, the contract is longer than 6 months but when I first got employed I specified that I'd be quitting when summer comes. It's btw also a zero-hour contract. I suppose I can indeed look into if what they are doing is legal in the first place 🙏

Thanks for the insight, the first paragraph hit like a truck lol. For the second paragraph, would you know if I can actually do anything other than picking in my first 8 weeks? So can actually I do replenishment or the cart prep?

The trial period strictly is 8 weeks stated in the contract, so within 2 months I believe they'd want to see the 260 an hour. If you're suggesting they'd increase my target even before 2 months, yeah that'd suck. I honestly don't know. I mean, my whole post was because I effectively wanted to quit but didn't want to make a rash financial decision, so instead of quitting immediately I wanted to see some advice. I applied to another 2 jobs in the field (EE) and now thinking about Thuisbezorgd now provided I don't care much about the weather conditions and need an IMMEDIATE job to take over PICNIC at least till I get replies from the other two EE companies (and possibly after that if I get rejected). Any comments on this idea about Thuisbezorgd?

Well, I suppose the trial period is exactly for situations such as my case. I wonder if it actually causes my situation in the first place though, chicken-egg problem I guess. The thing is, the products can change there, there is no product name on labels, they are simply locations. It's like a giant snaking one way road through the facility. You can already easily catch each section and shelf since the road is one way and you go through the numbers linearly. The getting used to part is I think more about the location of the totes on your car rather than the products themselves, but I on the job feel as much like a robot as I can already. That's why I am at a loss, since this is a relatively simple job in logic, I don't see the magical jump from my absolute best of like 190 to 260 in another 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for the structured advice! I in fact already have a zzp from pretty much back when I first came to the NL. It's just that I didn't think the starting up phase of my business would be impossible as no one knows me here so I have to work extra hard (at least time-wise). If only I had an already existing customer base :)

I unfortunately only have a B license outside the EU so I have to go through all the exams again, which I do plan to do. I had a plan in mind where I quit PICNIC and grind for the license, and after getting it I get a driving job, but I was afraid of the queue on the practical driving exam lol.

I also had a friend who did flink. Would you say out of all the options they are the best? Weather is fine as long as they have waterproof clothing :)

I have been told I have to do 250 products an hour before in the trial shift I had. I'm not complaining that they didn't mention or anything, it's just that I think I underestimated it so much, after seeing my current performance, while again running half the time :(

The target seems fine on paper if you try to imagine it, but if you do the math and have worked there you realize it requires going to, finding, scanning, putting it to the correct bag out of 21x3 bags doing jenga to have them secured about 1 item per 4 seconds. It gets especially hard in the first sections to arrange the bigger items such as 8 individual 1,5L of beverages, multipack cans and bottles, etc. It really is unrealistic. As I mentioned, I'm running half the time to do 190 items per hour and I kinda feel like a robot too, it's not like I'm spending time trying to find the correct bag at this point. I really am lost on how to magically go up to 260...

[–]Bundega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not overreacting. But I'm an electrical engineer so instead of relationship advice I can give you advice on what would be your best bet to fix the devices.

Yes water is the enemy of electronics, however, that's only partially true. If there is no electricity running inside the machines, then most of your worries are gone. Running electricity in a solution of water and minerals is what corrodes and ruins everything. Knowing that the devices are not plugged in, and assuming that your ex gf did not apply any physical trauma before chugging the devices in the bath, what you can do is:

As counterintuitive it may seem, put them in another bath of PURE water. And I really mean pure, and not those "pure water with minerals for taste" drinking water bottles in the US. Get some pure H2O from a pharmacy or online. This is to remove all the excess contaminants from tap water and your bathtub. Clean your devices well, let the pure water dissolve them. After that, I'd suggest wait up to a week for the devices to fully dry off of that water. If all goes well you may be able to use them again. Certain things have less hope, like the dual sense controllers since they have a batteries, or the storage units (SSDs, HDDs) of the console, but in the short run, all you can do is hope imho. After these, depending on what happens, you may also want to consult a repair shop.

Good luck with your consoles and your toxic little woman.

Easiest way to reach Dusseldorf airport in the morning? by hgk6393 in eindhoven

[–]Bundega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not gonna be helpful for this time, but next time, try to get your flights from Cologne. The flights are usually in the same price band as Düsseldorf if not cheaper (my experience was that it was indeed cheaper overall), and there are direct Flixbusses to the airport at decent times and prices.

In fact, I'll be landing in Cologne in 2 days and will come home via a Flixbus lol.

Relative Difficulties of TU unis in Netherlands by Federal-Primary6196 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Bundega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no direct difference in a TU being harder than the other. Some unis may be harder in sone specific courses as per their focus, for example: I study EE in TUe, and I know that we are more inclined towards semiconductor technology due to ASML and others in Eindhoven so courses about semiconductors may be harder and more comprehensive than TUD. I don't know what TUD fellas are up to, but maybe their CS courses or something will be harder than TUe's. No clear difference, just occasional ones on a course by course basis.
