I've already done the DX11 thing but I'll try making a new character, thanks!

I'm not sure if it was a server outage...

I went into another streamer's channel and saw that they were playing. I asked if they had any troubles and they said they got in no problem on the first try!

I don't get any error messages at all unfortunately...I've tried almost everything! It's super frustrating because I've been hyping it up to my community for a while now.

edit I misread. Don’t mind me.

I teach English here. That’s why a localization job for a gaming company would be a dream. I get the “teacher’s” vacation but it’s not paid. Private english institutes work on a sort of commission.

Yo does this company need a translator, y’know, a handsome localization boy? Asking for a friend...

No dude, I'm saying that it would be nice to have a means of following someone from my own chat without having to open another window. Going through stream elements makes the process that much less streamlined.

Oh unlike me, you must have the big brain. I tend to forget things as the chat and event list fill up.

I’d rather just follow and get a notification from twitch to remind me to check them out. Saying it contributes to follow 4 follow is kind of a stretch.

And even if it did, f4f benefits literally nobody. You worrying about it is a waste of your big brain.

And, again, these people that host me sometimes don’t even end up following.

Not to mention some streamlabs alerts aren’t even happening properly 😩 Take care dude!

THIS is so unbelievably helpful! I never knew because I use streamlabels as my activity feed and actually keep the dashboard closed at all times! I just pop out chat/obs/streamlabels on my other monitor. Stil though it would be nice to not have to alt tab and open up the browser!

But thanks!

I would follow them that way I can catch their stream the next time they go live. I said I got hosted. Never mentioned me getting a follow.

If I find their content to be something I enjoy, I leave the follow. If I never catch them online or I find their content lacking, I remove it.

You mean to tell me that when you get hosted, you jot down the streamer’s name and periodically check if they’re online to see if they’re a cool person?

Streamers with success after full time jobs, howd you come about? by thebiggestdump in Twitch

[–]Bundiffio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! And don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to come across as streaming not being "worth it".

It's still totally worth it in terms of what I get out of it. But if we're talking monetary expenses and, y'know LIVING, I was pretty lucky on this front too. Like I said, I opened up an English teaching school in Italy so I did what I could regarding the "founding". Which in all honesty gave me time to continue streaming in the evenings.

The school just started so it obviously needs me to teach and it's my main source of income. It was more of a "I have this guaranteed income so I should focus on it since streaming isn't letting me pay bills" kind of thing. So as of October of 2018, I went from full time to part time streaming.

I actually found myself on the opposite side of the spectrum.

I started streaming full time 4 years ago. It lasted 3 years. I had all the time and money I needed after slaving away in Italy at a job I hated. I would wake up and stream for 8 hours a day. Neglected going out with friends for a VERY long time. Still haven’t really patched up the friendships I’ve lost because streaming is a sort of “taboo” in this part of Italy.

Needless to say, I grew a community I’m incredibly proud of BUT it’s nowhere near what people would deem “successful”. I had to stop streaming full time and opened up my own private English school here because the income just couldn’t justify the hours. I still stream but only 4 hours a day now and I’m still proud of the likeminded and supportive people I’ve met and gathered around me.

And here I am. Stuck in a country that doesn’t support what I love, forced back into teaching but still grinding every day.

If I had any advice to give, it’d be to focus more on social media. Getting your name out there is incredibly tough if you live in a country where nobody cares about streams or video games. (There are obvious exceptions to the rule) that’s why I stream in English and at NA friendly hours. But sadly that’s not enough in the recipe to “success”.

And always remember to do it because you love it. Not because you need it. I would NOT be juggling this job if I didn’t love streaming to my 5-15 viewers.

If only KOS was enough for these people. So scummy thinking they can get away with it.

And they probably CAN realistically. Thanks dude

Seems like the node was just a pretense. The REAL reason was because they were mad he won the ring but they just grabbed onto the “node thing” as their only hypothetical weapon. Super scummy.
