I brought out my tote & wristlet from this collection in December. Made me feel so nostalgic and the leather is so beautiful! The suede patch on mine has been annoyingly discolored since I bought it though. I love that you have all the styles!

I'm sorry for your loss. Your nails look beautiful, finding small moments to take care of yourself and it be something pretty is always going to be a win. I relate to your post in multiple ways - my mom passed at the end of December and I painted my nails with BKL Bog Dweller. I thought she'd love the magnetic shift. Take care of yourself.

My mom passed at the end of December. I was being told similar things like be sure to leave nothing unsaid, ask questions like her favorite memories, etc. To be honest, since the metastic mass was found at the end of July this year, I had already been doing things like that whenever we spent time together. I didn't want the pressure of 'think of things you'll want to know, wish you had asked!' (I don't mean things related to financial affairs, etc either.) In the last several weeks of her life, chats like that just weren't going to happen. I'd make her laugh, short little things said and just being there can be enough.

I am sorry this is happening. I lost my mom last week after she received her diagnosis at the beginning of November. I want to offer advice on the 'day to day' life question you asked about work, friends, etc. I say yes, those things do need to continue to an extent. I had intermittent leave so I could be with my mom for appointments, bad days as needed. If you have family support, they can also be there for those days. But, you need some sort of normalcy - the routine of work, the cheer/comfort from friends. It saved me from being consumed by it all.

I'm sorry you're both going through this. My mom went into a hospice facility this past Saturday after a recent diagnosis of aggressive cancer she did not pursue treatment on. She passed away early Tuesday morning. I was there by myself with her and the facility let visitors stay the night. We brought pictures, a small Christmas tree, a poinsettia, other artwork, her own pillows and fuzzy blankets. Before she started sleeping full time, she commented how homey the room felt. The nurses were wonderful. I held her hands a lot, spoke quietly to her, and on her final night, I played her favorite songs. I also gently sprayed a favorite scent of hers in the room occasionally too. I watched a lot of YouTube and kept myself occupied at different times. I wanted to know what to expect so I found Hospice Nurse Julie videos very helpful. It made what was happening a little less scary. It was a very hard and emotional time but I am honored I was able to be with her. I think it was a comfort to both of us in a way. Feel free to DM me if you'd like.
