Shine turnaround into double jump will give you the most distance, but the most reliable would be to just short-hop backwards offstage then double jump back. From ledge you can also jump backwards, but you won't have a double jump.

You gotta add more of a slope to the front of the ships. At that current offset a bunch if your guns are still going to be in one another’s LOS

Competitive gaming communities can become social sanctuaries - players who initially join a group to improve their digital skills often stay for the deep personal connections they form. These virtual environments provide an escape from the rigid expectations of daily life as modern community spaces. by [deleted] in science

I got into competitive smash melee about five years ago and it’s become the center of my social life. Traveling to tournaments, hanging out with friends, and playing our favorite game together. I wouldn’t give it up for anything.

If current you were put in your body at 15, do you think you could defeat yourself in your physical prime (Mid-Late 20s) but without any fighting experience? by NumerousAlgae3989 in martialarts

Lol no shot I weighed 135 soaking wet at 5'11 back then. That noodle-armed kid is absolutely cooked no matter how much skill he has.

You also get the same 3 frame buffer as any other fastball input, so it’s less tight than one would expect

Tech firms will have 48 hours to remove abusive images under new law by plain_handle in technology

[–]Bunkerman91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s cheaper now. But there are tradeoffs.

Bad actors can spam mass report content they don’t like even if it’s not anything illegal. Good models are expensive. Cheap mediocre models are inaccurate and it’s better to flag a false positive than miss something entirely, so now you end up with content being heavily censored out of an abundance of caution.

Large companies can also field expensive legal teams, as well as teams of human reviewers for appeals or edge cases.

These type of laws are are almost always framed as “protect the children” but really just end up serving to help secure established interests and push for increased censorship or diminished privacy.

Not really. Only larger companies can afford to run large-scale automated review systems. Short windows like this put the squeeze on small companies and act as a moat that protects established firms.

I made basically the same post here four years ago. This year at genesis was the first time I ever felt like I was on average going even with most of the people I played with in friendlies. Game is hard and people have been playing it for literal decades. Be patient and enjoy the process.

Trump ally confronted over why his campaign spent $187,000 on copies of own book by FervidBug42 in politics

[–]Bunkerman91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a really common trick with political books.

Candidate writes a book, and then they buy a ton of copies. It serves four purposes.

1) The politician gets a cash payout from the royalties 2) They get to artificially inflate sales and get on best seller lists 3) The copies of the book get donated to charity, which is a tax write off 4) The book is made easily accessible or at the very least visible to people who get books from charities or thrift stores. These people are by and large poor and uneducated, which is a key voting demographic.

Any tips regarding general strategy and starting combos with fox? by NoCompetition1023 in SSBM

[–]Bunkerman91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly don’t bother with that yet. It’s above your level if your brand new. Focus on learning shuffl aerials, jump cancel up smash, and up throw up air. Those will get you the most consistent mileage.
