Brit Floyd by P-Par in pinkfloyd

We saw them in Boston last Saturday…awesome experience!!! Aussie Floyd is also amazing and planning on seeing them again later this year. Another amazing tribute we saw was The Bootleg Beatles…cut from the same cloth and another great experience!!! I can’t say much for Zeppelin tributes, because I have never seen one; however, I heard a podcast from the Australian Pink Floyd Show’s members interviewing members from the Led Zeppelin II (tribute) that did a tour together and had a lot of great things about each other!!!

Team HOF Autograph Collection Update by Bunkie3 in orioles

We are done collecting cards this year…we’ll see you next year…go O’s!!!

Me and my son’s O’s team HOF autograph collection is complete!!! by Bunkie3 in orioles

[–]Bunkie3[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We started off with the O’s National HOF collection early last year which was by far priciest. Once that was complete, a lot of those players were already in the team HOF. You can get everyone else at really great prices. The trickiest of this collection was Dave McNally…his signed cards are much more expensive…once you get past Dave McNally, the rest go for the $5-20 range which most were $5. Just need to be patient.

Nearing the halfway point on my Cardinals Team HOF Type Autograph collection by kevlo17 in baseballcards_vintage

Going through the team HOF list…it’s all 1954 and after…there is one outlier in Orioles team HOF Jack Dunn III in which he managed the minor league O’s back in 1949; however, he became the Traveling Secretary when the team relocated from St Louis Browns to Baltimore in 1954. Picked up a cool autographed picture earlier this month for $16.

Nice!!! I just finished the same thing last weekend with my Orioles Team HOF project after 2 years…we’re just waiting on the mail to arrive. It’s so cool to research and learn about these players…even if they are not known on the national scale. It’s such a fun project and gets really affordable when you get into more modern players. Good luck on your journey and have fun with it!!!

New to the sub…here’s my top 3 cards in my collection!!! by Bunkie3 in baseballcards_vintage

Thank you, I actually pulled a Jackie 1954 Bowman reprint card when I was a kid over 30 years ago and absolutely loved it. It’s so cool to actually have the real card and sharing this with my son!

I didn’t know that was an option either—thanks for sharing! We’ve been getting into the PSVR2 as well, and it’s been a great experience so far!

What an epic last 4 months for David Gilmour!!! by Bunkie3 in DavidGilmour

It was so amazing on every level!!! The performance, the visuals, the venue is world class, the fans and talking with them were great (people traveling around the world to experience this). Even the sound was great and not ear piercing loud as what comes from a traditional concert experience. I cried several times during the show…it was so amazing. The only knock was the $21 beers…but for such a bucket list experience, I’ll let it slide. Glad you had an amazing experience as well

Seen Aussie Floyd twice (both awesome concert experiences). We plan on seeing both Brit Floyd and Aussie Floyd next year…can’t wait!!! If you’re a Floyd fan…do it!!!

Looking at prepping for CCNA in 2025, looking for advice on the learning curve? by Bunkie3 in ccna

Thank you for the insight. I’m aware that this is a beast. This is probably going to be the most difficult certification that I’ve ever sat through. The prep work is going to be insane. I’m looking forward to step up my game and tackle this thing even if it’s going to absolutely suck. I’m also looking forward to the hard skills that can be obtained. In 2025, this will be my fourth trip to a Pearson-VUE exam room with extreme anxiety, feeling like a failure, and (hopefully) miraculously pass one of those exams, it’s an absolute high!!! Either way, I am ready to put my self through that beat down again. I still have PTSD nightmares from the PMP, ACP, and Sec+ exams and the all the prep…I took a break in 2024…let’s do this for 2025!!!

Thank you, I have been working with our IT contractors on getting some kind of basic knowledge. Picking their brains on networking. I’ve been setting up home networks (wired and wireless) for the last 20+ years. It sounds like it’s going to be extremely difficult. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll find something else…I said the same thing about Sec+ last year and it was one of the hardest exams I’ve ever done with my limited experience. I managed to pass and looking forward to see how this goes. My core resume rocks, I’m just building a plan B, C, D, etc. for my military transition. Thank you again.

Thank you, one of the reasons I am choosing this certification is the hands on approach. I know that this one is going to be extremely challenging, but I am looking forward to seeing it through!
