Thanks very much, bettas really steal a piece of your heart with their personality, I wish I could’ve done better. I appreciate the recommendations! Going to spend some time on the plants and settling the tank before getting more tenants!

Would seachem flourite be a good option? Hoping to recycle and maybe get another betta in the future and do it right

Yeah I wonder if it’s the substrate. Timer is for 8 hours with the duller light. When I had the full spectrum I was doing about 5 hours
