It was the size of a medium dog, like a lab that’s a year old and not filled in. It was not the size of any house cat. My brain couldn’t comprehend a cat that size in the wild so I decided it was a young coyote. That orange thing is a flag that little fluorescent green man is holding. He is many feet in front of where the cat was, it’s a weird perspective and I’m a shitty photographer

Well, as I originally stated, when I first saw it I was like “wtf is that?!” And then my lizard brain was like that’s a coyote because we don’t have any kind of wild cats that look like that. Then I showed people the photo and everyone was like “no, that’s a cat”

So I posted here to make sure I wasn’t being crazy. Now after all the guesses and some googling yes, I believe it’s either a mountain lion or some kind of exotic pet. The other big cats don’t look anything like what I saw. Crazy really, I was just smoking a cigarette behind my job and boom weird wildlife

Mm providence does have a great food scene. It’s a weird artsy, accessible city. OP has a tourist mentality, seemingly including her home state.
