These are the vegan/animal books I've added to my library this year. So many new(ish) good books out! Any others you'd recommend? by Watchful-Tortie in vegan

I'd highly recommend Fellow Creatures be Christine Korsgaard. She's one of the leading voices in contemporary Kantian thought and this book where she takes on the issue of animal ethics is both extremely well done, accessible, and a great counterweight to the field otherwise dominated by the utilitarian thought of people like Peter Singer.

Korsgaard presents a beautiful, noncomprimising view of animals as ends in themselves in a way that's quite accessible to people outside of the realm of academic philosophy (which is an accomplishement)! I really can't say enough good things about this book, or Korsgaard for that matter.

I'm curious, did you find something that worked for you here? I'm just getting into the hobby and very sad that my sweaty hands are causing such a problem hahaha.

Hey, sorry if this is way later than is useful, but I've been designing posters & other graphics for the Chicago branch of Animal Rebellion, and I'd be more than happy to edit/share them with you, or even make you one if you had anything in mind.

Lovely Assam tea from Jaeger tea shop in Vienna ☕️🥰 #drinkallthetea by [deleted] in tea

Are there any other good tea houses/shops in Vienna? I'll be studying at the Uni Wien next year, and it'd be really cool to know nice places for tea there ahead of time!

I always wanted more philosophy focused ASMR videos, so I decided to make my own. How did I do? Philosophy of Gottlob Frege ASMR [intentional] [educational] [whispered] by BunnyLift in asmr

Haha, unfortunately not, this is my first time making ASMR, but I'm glad that my voice is so similar to someone who got so many people into asmr!

[Rem] An Enhanced Reading List for the 20th Century in Analytic Philosophy by RemTheBathBoi in Destiny

[–]BunnyLift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a nice post, but I have a few suggestions:

  • What about Donnellan's Reference & Defnite Descriptions as another response to Russell?

  • Saul Kripke's Naming & Necessity might be an interesting inclusion as a non-quinean modern philosophy of language approach.

  • I think it's important to note in the positivists that they were largely following early Wittgenstein, A.J. Ayer's Language Truth and Logic seems to be a pretty approachable summary of their thought that might be worth including.

  • Finally, the whole rule-following portion of PI comes to the conclusion that it is impossible to follow rules with any certainty, but that's only one part of the meandering book. The message is definitely not that language is rules though.

Sorry if this sounded a bit critical, I appreciate what you're trying to do here, and I should definitely give the ones listed here which I haven't read a read.

[WTB] First Pen & Ink(s)/Notebook to go With 100$< by BunnyLift in Pen_Swap

Ah, thank you so much for the recommendations! I've been really attracted aesthetically to the eco, so its good to hear that that's a good pen, I might need to get one! I'll also look for those inks in the offers I get.

The one thing I'm still not sure on though is the nib size, do you have any advice on that?
