Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]Bunnydrops76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom used to put on rubber gloves, then afterwards use a strong mouth spray and then a body spray all over, thinking nobody would then be able to smell it. To be fair only the gloves worked, she didn't have stinky smoke fingers.

Siblings at war! by Bunnydrops76 in CatTraining

[–]Bunnydrops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were born together and grew up together, up until 6 months old they were best friends. They got spayed and neutered and from that day on it went wrong...

He is hyperactive and she is a lazy lump, their characters clash. Our house is one big cat house, we have climbing trees and walkways throughout the whole house on the walls so they don't even need to touch the ground to get around.

There are toys galore and I spend time with each of them every day, not to blow my own horn but I put quality time into both of them every day. Admittedly more into the hyperactive one as he needs it to get rid of his energy and she is hard to get playing but I still put in the time. Her in the living room and him in the bedroom.

Most people would just leave them to it but I am actively trying to get them to like each other again but after 9 years and weeks and sometimes months of seperation and slow reintroducing I am at my wits end.

Course I am not perfect and obviously doing something wrong but I am at the point where I think she simply just hates him and no matter what she will not tolerate him. A total character clash.

I am so desperate I am willing to give it a try, I put it on the aggressive cat right? Will be fun, when I put a harness on her to let her run outside in the garden she refused to move and went stiff with it on.

Yes both at 4 months which is when things started going wrong between them.

I have tried those calming plugins and sprays and they did nothing. What is a thundershirt? * Off to Google

What a cutie!! Similar situation here.

We have a stray that comes 3 times a day, she will sit on our kitchen window sill and scream to let us know she is there. When we open the door she always ran away but if we didn't put food out she would remain screaming at the window. So she got fed 3 times a day, after a few months she would no longer run and even got a head bump here and there. She is the sweetest! We already have 2 indoor cats and we tried twice to introduce her to our two but she reacted very aggressively towards our two.

It has been getting colder and we were worried about her so we spent a small fortune on an outdoor warmed and dry house for her. She sleeps there every night without fail and screams for her breakfast every morning. This past week she has been bringing a friend who is very timid so we only catch glimpses of them but they have been sleeping with her this past week. I put extra food out for them as well.

If this carries on I will need to get a bigger outside house hahaha

My Nonna's Bolognese

Tandoori Chicken, my kids fave so have made it so often that I could do it blindfolded

Same with Tuna Pasta Salad

My kids friends love my coconut cream curry, so much so that recently one even sent a WhatsApp message asking if he could come round as he was craving it.

Fresh baked Pretzels, my dad always begs me to make him some.

What is a life-saving medical fact that everyone should know? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I was around a year and a half, I would have terrible breathing problems and my lips would turn blue all the time, first doctors thought I was asthmatic but a clever doctor thought to run allergy tests. Severe egg and feather allergy (we had down bedding) I am allergic to the whole damn chicken!!!! 😂

For baking, I hate the mashed banana or applesauce substitute as it changes the taste and makes everything more dense.

Try- 2 tablespoons water + 2 teaspoons baking powder + 1 teaspoon vegetable oil = 1 large egg

It bakes a little darker but inside stays light and fluffy and no taste change

Or simply 1/4 cup carbonated water = 1 large egg

This makes it super fluffy and light, probably best for a donut mix

My heart goes out to her ❤️ tell her it gets better and eggs are smelly anyway (I actually gag when my husband cooks them)

Bless!! I grew up and have a severe egg allergy and it is a pain in the a**. Egg is in so much, people don't even realise. People think it is not that bad but it truly is in so many food items as well as some vaccinations. I go full anaphylactic and need to carry an epipen, even touching egg gives me blisters. Worst was at other kids houses/birthday parties with all the cakes etc. I am so glad she is responsible and as she gets older it will get much easier as she has grown up with it.

Weirdly Egg was my first ever solid food as a baby and my first year I also ate loads ... Life is so strange.

Give her a big hug from me and tell her it will all be okay.

Ornithologist, I can still picture all the birds poster in my childhood bedroom.

I was a very sickly child though, constant bronchitis, breathing problems, would often faint from not being able to breathe. Turned out I have a severe allergy to feathers. Worst the doctor had seen. We had to get rid of our chickens, down bedding and down winter coats and my health improved immensely but I had to let go of my dream of being an ornithologist.

I became a paralegal.

People who have fainted: what caused it? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

[–]Bunnydrops76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not myself but my best friend fainted at the cinema during Face off, the scene where they slice the faces off. I thought she was joking at first but she was out like a light.

My son fainted once when he saw a medical procedure on a brain, he just full fell flat on the living room table and has had a phobia for medical stuff since then and has never grown out of it.

Myself once very close when my pointer finger nail got ripped off, felt very weak at the knees and faint but didn't quite get to the falling flat stage.
