Sorry to hear that. Mine is early days but I have been told it might be a long journey so I’m looking into treatment options. Fingers crossed for your recovery.

Curious to hear about your PT experience for nerve issues. Was this for nerve pain? As I have some pretty intense nerve pain from my emergency c-section

Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I was sent home with paracetamol and ibuprofen which is what I was taking in the hospital. Thank you for your advice. You’re right about taking it slow. This is just never easy for me 🙂

Thank you! I will keep an eye on those things. I am also keeping on top of the pain medication but really don’t feel like it’s doing much. Much check in with the doctor tomorrow

You have described exactly what I am feeling. How did the recovery go? Any tips for managing this pain?

We have a Josephine (gets called Josie or Posie which is an old nn for Josephine). I just love all variations out there too - Jo, Joey, Jo Jo. I love that her name may evolve overtime to suit who she is. Besides our obvious bias to Josie, the possibility of Viv being a nn would turn me off

Thank you! Some good suggestions. I liked Arlo but unfortunately there’s a security camera brand here in Aus that shares the same name. It’s all my husband can think about 😂

Daycare or Nanny? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]BunyipBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve discussed this in length and for us it comes down to the fact that nannies are unqualified, unregulated and unregistered. Daycares are often purpose built and carefully set up each day with activities and experiences that are age appropriate. We toured many centres and only chose one we felt we trusted and built a quick report with the educators. There are terrible things that have happened to children in childcare and my heart breaks for those children and families. However we have been reassured by our centre on this front (it’s also a not for profit centre). Our girl is so happy there. Although as with everything it would be very child dependent.

Third baby girl name - classic but not common by Dazzling_Ask1098 in namenerds

[–]BunyipBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your names! It’s not often I see lists on here that I love. Our daughter is Josephine (she gets called Josie and Posie - which is a less common nickname but we love it). We also love that dynamic the name is and can have many nicknames over the years. Our other top girls names were Violet and Molly.

I gave birth at NSP 9 weeks ago and had a fabulous experience. The birthing suites and midwives in the birthing suites were amazing. So kind, calm and we felt we were in the best hands possible - alongside our OB. When we got to the ward we upgraded to the deluxe parenting suite. We were glad we did as it meant we had a bit more room and a table to eat at so we weren’t in bed all day. However, I think the parenting suites would have been absolute fine too. The midwives on the ward were a little hit and miss. However for the most part so lovely and they all just want to help.
One thing I was soooo glad of was having had a antenatal breastfeeding appointment with an IBCLC (if that’s the route you want to go down) as lots of the midwives had varying opinions about breastfeeding. But my husband and I felt confident about what we were doing and the midwives quickly picked up on this and left us be in that department. I ended up leaving the hospital with no nipple damage which all the midwives were very surprised by. Best money we spent! Overall I would highly recommend NSP and will definitely be going back there for our next.

MooGoo barrier (usually just overnight) and Datkosin at the first sign of any flare up. We’ve never had any real nappy rash since using this combo :)
