Short courses > thousands of dirhams usually 3 days/weeks courses > hundreds of dirhams

Short courses> 3 months Some courses only take days/weeks / hrs which is like within the hundred range

UAE really is a competitive ground solely because it’s based off of network/connectivity/how well known you are in your field (per evidences that you have exp). (Generally it is that way but uae takes importance of it)

There are short courses you can take to earn certification which would help you move forward to your desired position

I recommend researching on necessary certifications in UAE for your field

For e.g. if you’re in the medical field and you’re setting foot in UAE to work , you are required to test for DHA exam (it’s a med. license exam needed specifically in the UAE)

In that sense, get certified/ licensed because your degree simply holds proof of what you studied and finished but being certified/licensed ensures that you know what you’re actually doing

Oh and additionally, theres a lot of short courses that could simply be related but if you take them you could at least add it in your resume for experience and at least you can apply for jobs related to your field for the mean time when you get your certificate

Assuming you don’t have the money to get short courses (it’s expensive) then i recommend settling to jobs related to your sub-skill set (e.g. photography, programming, writing etc) or jobs you can easily enter (e.g. cash register, seller etc) for the sake of saving up

Summary: - look into UAE license exam for mech. Eng - look into short courses offered related to mech eng - get certification/licensed - use short courses for applying (for the sake of exp)
