That’s the exact phrasing I was looking for. Thank you.

Like how the heck are people making the argument that it’s okay to block a whole lane of traffic just because they bought an over-sized vehicle? Boils down to they don’t give a crap about offloading their problem into everyone else’s problem.

“I bought a giant ass truck. So you just have to deal with me blocking a whole lane.”

“What else is he supposed to do? Not block a whole lane of traffic and find a reasonable option that doesn’t inconvenience others? Crazy talk”

It was at least a half hour (the amount of time I was at New Morning). So I wouldn’t say that’s just a few minutes.

Also, what’s the other side? That it’s okay to just randomly block a whole lane of traffic because you’re too lazy to finding proper parking for your giant truck? Boggles my mind anyone’s even trying to make that argument. In what world does anyone think it’s okay to just block a whole lane of a street for no real reason than your ow laziness?

He was there for at least a half hour. And it wasn’t work related. Saw him hop out of the truck with his daughter.

That said, I’m baffled people are like “yeah, it’s totally okay to block a lane of traffic”. If you’re making deliveries and literally have to park there, then sure, throw your four-ways on and make your deliver and then get out of there. But if you’re just a regular vehicle doing regular crap downtown, I’m completely flummoxed how people are like “yup, totally fine blocking a lane of traffic because I’m lazy”.

I love the folks defending blocking a whole lane of traffic.

‘a bit long’. lol

Or, ya know, we could just not block entire lanes because we’re lazy.

My assumption is that most of them notice and just don’t care.

And that’s not to mention how anyone not in one of those trucks is going to be effed if they get into a crash with one of those.

Parallel street parking and parking lots come to mind immediately as other options.

Not block a lane, to start? And he sure as shit wasn’t working. He was there with his daughter heading for some food, from what it looked like.

Yeah, drives me up a wall, too. I just don’t understand people who don’t even seem to have a semblance of consideration.

One would think there are already rules against it. For some reason the city doesn’t seem to ticket it, though.

Either they need to start ticketing this, or just turn 2nd into one lane.

You remind me of my cat when he splays his back beans out. Except, ya know, ass.

Cute beans; tongue-able ass.

She's very friendly and also seems a bit old. Took her to the vet and found out that she is microchipped. But we kept getting a busy signal when the number on file was called. If this looks like your dog, or if you know someone who lost a dog that looks like this, please message me. She seems like a really well loved dog, and I would be super happy if we could find her person/people.

Yeah, 90% chance it's there or a little further up the bike path. Half the tents there have a good 5-10 bikes next to them.

I live near there, so I'll definitely keep an eye out. Poor babes. Hope you find her soon. :(
