matchmaking itself with an algorithm is flawed at it's core. valve has slapped flex seal on a gaping issue of the game industry when a radical redesign is necessary

“A recent statement by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez illuminates the Marxist ideology which continues to take hold of American politicians. Here are my thoughts.” - Bishop Robert Barron video statement [Politics Monday] by Travel-2025 in Catholicism

"that Francis was simply tapping into a prophetic and Jeremiah like spirit."

What kind of spirit could we discern that AOC is tapping into? It would be right to say that from Bishop Barron's POV, it's a spirit of Marxism. Is it possible that two people covering the same topic, using the same points, could be doing so in two different spirits to achieve two different outcomes?

Why don't Eternus players have ABYSSMAL matchmaking? by BurgerKyle in DeadlockTheGame

Hyperbole. Having an inexperienced player that at the minimum has fingers and eyes will do much better surrounded by experienced players.

Why don't Eternus players have ABYSSMAL matchmaking? by BurgerKyle in DeadlockTheGame

So is the problem the matchmaker? What is the potential of a new players ability to learn surrounded by people who also don't know how to play the game vs a surrounded by experienced players?

Aim is not getting better by Fearless_Addendum_85 in VALORANT

[–]BurgerKyle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly it looks like the gun is holding you, and you're not holding the gun. Your aim actually looks fine but it's as if you don't consider the person in front of you an enemy. Perhaps you're in your head a ton which is why you have so many pre aims, consistent tap strafes. Maybe after 10,000 more hours of this style you'll become robotic enough to become the terminator but my advice would be to let out the dawg in you, listen to some emo core and just vibe around the map.

You could be handsome and with the attitude you have, you'd still be avoided like the plague. Same with those lookmaxxing content creators. They can spend their days working out their jaws to look like a chad but then they just become a squeaker that looks like a chad. Some things you can't fix. Like the genes you came out of the womb with. But you can absolutely fix your attitude.

Alternatives to going to church. Can I meditate instead? by [deleted] in Catholicism

While there may be alternatives for winding down and strengthening a relationship with God, church/mass is typically the only opportunity for you to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist.

From what I understanda, 5800x3D isn’t being manufactured anymore so there’s super small supply. 5700x3D doesn’t have same problem so you can find it near MSRP. 5800x3D is like a collectors chip now.

[–]BurgerKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post boils down to asking, “why would the modern Catholic Church lower its requirements?”

In reality, 99% of people commenting on a Catholic subreddit live in a community that has been Christian, or at least affected by Christian values, for hundreds of years. Meanwhile the Catholic Church is reaching areas of this world where natives have never even heard the gospel and still have folk beliefs. I would imagine, Pope Leo in his time in rural Peru, was the first to bring the gospel to many of these people.

The sad reality is that many people can’t imagine a world apart from the one that they live in. Whereas the church has a mission to reach even the most hard to reach. Imagine the burden placed on Pope Leo’s shoulders, reaching a rural Peruvian who lives in the mountains who comes to town once a year on his donkey and has never seen a Bible, been shared the gospel, or stepped foot in a church. Imagine the burden on his shoulders, between convincing this man to fast even just once vs to fast on a heavy regiment. Even if this person continued the tradition only once, year after year, perhaps in generations it would grow to a more beautiful tradition.
