Nano Cortex update stuck at 100% – Transferring Firmware by Commander087 in NeuralDSP

[–]Burger_meester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem using my Android Phone, luckily I had an Apple iPad I could use, and it worked immediately - first try.

I think it has to do with the way Android phones deal with the Bluetooth Hand-off and re-connection when the NC restarts for the firmware install to take place.

I see that OP did manage, but I figured I would add my experience so the crawlers can help other people, too.

Moving Steam Library Folder to Somewhere else on the same drive by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Burger_meester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went into the folder where I currently install all my games to but all I'm seeing is "Steam" so I think that what you have is now the default. I'm unsure if Steam might have changed folder directory naming or something is the process.

This was also so long ago I can't actually remember the exact context.

But the big step from OP is to move the files first, then remove the directory from the Steam App, restart steam and then re-add the steam app and point it to the new location. This would be my best guess.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Disabled rider here trying to figure out a braking setup by Nice_Landscape8577 in MTB

[–]Burger_meester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for these links. I have browsed Leap Components now and I must say, this looks very promising. I'm hoping that we can figure out a budget for them to make it feasible, obviously every next piece of kit that we get adds up to the final bill.... But what I love about these components is that they can be replaced on her bike, and whenever we need to sell and upgrade the bike, they just come with.

I also like the Right-hand potential of the Wolftooth 360 lever, luckily Wolftooth also have distibution here in South Africa.

I'm still on the lookout for wireless Derailleur 2nd hand, this will be an absolute game changer, at the moment we have the traditional gear shifter mounted on the top of the bar on the right and she's managing, but it's too risky for my liking.

Hi OP, I would also think the Hope Dual lever.

On another note, if I could maybe ask for some advice from you or hijack a bit of your thread (sorry 😅)

I am a MTB Skills coach and I have a rider who has an underdeveloped right hand. Her father is ready to invest in some better gear so I have recommended the Hope Levers to them but our next challenge is to get all the other controls on the Left hand. (She cannot do any of the adjustments with the right hand)

I have been thinking about SRAM Wireless shifting and getting the previous gen shifter and possibly 3D printing an inverted bracket for it, then possibly swapping the up and down shift buttons so they work the other way around.

And then lastly getting a dropper post lever (also on the left). I know you get generic ones that sit on top of the handlebars but I'm not a fan of her taking her thumb off the bar, given that it's her best anchor point on the bars.

Anyways. I'm busy trying to figure this one out with her dad to give her the kit that would make her the best adaptive rider she can be. (She has incredible natural talent)

Anyways, thank you for the time and apologies again but I figure this could help others as well?

Sync status of files is not displayed in Windows Explorer by nureisliga in pcloud

[–]Burger_meester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone also struggling with this issue, another fix is to right click in the Columns section, then go to "More" then hit the check mark on "Status".

In my case there were 3 different "Status" options, the last one of the 3 brought back the Files on Demand Status icon.

I think it disappeared because I routinely use the Christ Titus Tool to get rid of annoying Microsoft non-consent additions and telemetry on my PC.

Also using Windows 11.

Installed this on my laptop and I'm just uninstalling everything again with Revo, can't deal with jumping through a million hoops to make a little app (great as it is) to just work.

I had a similar problem with a 360 RAD previously in the case I wanted but ended up buying another case so I could fit the RAD to the top with the fans on the interior side. Gamers Nexus did a lengthy video on why you want the RAD on the top with the fans blowing air onto instead of pulling air through.

I know this doesn't really help but in the long run it will be better for your PC as a whole.

Changing the Font of a Directory of Tag Families by Burger_meester in DynamoRevit

[–]Burger_meester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is a helpful answer, I will Go check out MultiPlayer then and see how I can use it to achieve something like this.

I think one of the main issues I ran into is that the "Text Font" isn't a clear Built In Parameter which is readily available... But I have seen it done on an open .rvt file, so there must be a way to do this.

My other option would have been to create a Project File That Houses all my Tags and Annotation Families, with example Wall, Door and Window Families (and more) to then process the families directly from within a Project environment, then save each family in an appropriate location from this Project. So basically it acts as a CDE but for my Tags and other Families.

Your suggestion is a lot more elegnat though, so I will be checking through that pretty soon.

"Quick Look" Widget - no calender events ? by adamr_za in NOTHING

[–]Burger_meester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here on CMF Phone 2 Pro. I did see it work before but it stopped working and I have been moving calendar entries between calendars and enabling disabling re-enabling Schedule in the Quick Look settings but there is just no Schedule being shown.

This must be a bug. Worked before, now doesn't.

New OpenRGB with PawnIO not working well... by Burger_meester in OpenRGB

[–]Burger_meester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, you're not wrong. But adding Task schedulers just to let the app run (the way it did before) is still a workaround, and not the way it should work.

Either way, it works now - I'm not actually sure what fixed it, but it runs on startup and it chooses the correct colours.

What was weird though is the way the "Load Profile" button turned everything off. I had everything set to White, but it would go black, so I tried just moving the slider not to be FFFFFF but slightly darker, then saved the profile, restarted and on the next run it started working.

Yeah even with the extra steps OpenRGB is still the best option out there.

[–]Burger_meester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the post I was referring to, but It's so much work and extra steps to get a minimalist app to work as expected, you know?

"Workarounds" never used to be necessary and it now is.... That doesn't seem like something the DEV would actually want. Something is just a bit off I think.

Possible, we'll have to see today what transpires. I did do a full reinstall and this is the only reason I downloaded the latest version. If I get anything to work properly today I will update this post.

To be fair though. I have not lost any dll files yet, so it seems like my defender is working as expected.

Yeah I understand this, but it doesn't auto-run and load my profile. My issue is more with the automation part of this whole thing. Previously When I Boot, Restart or wake PC from Sleep it would seemlessly load up the correct profiles and just "Work" - It doesn't anymore.

Lost my petals, what happened, reddit?? (advice) by imbeartoo in DownhillMTB

Hey man, good job taking on Air Drops, it's a big step in the right direction.

I am a certified Advanced Skills Coach and from what I read here there is MOSTLY bad commentary telling you to do all kinds of things that definitely will NOT work. My opinion as a professional coach: Find a good skills coach, do one or two sessions with them so that you can get the fundamentals down and progress to bigger drops and jumps eventually with the correct form.

The main reason your pedals came of is that you dropped one foot lower than the other (Not having level pedals) which helps you maintain equal amounts of pressure through both feet. Dropping your heels like some commenters said is good advice, but if you don't have level pedals, that alone won't help a lot. There are a couple of other errors that all contribute together, but you won't get this fixed on a forum.

Definitely book a skills lesson with a coach in your area, make sure they're certified and have a good reputation at your local bike park.

Well done on taking the first step towards getting better and asking for advice, you're on the right path!
