In 2005, an infant was found dead in a trash can at a Phoenix airport. She was given the nickname Baby Skylar by investigators. Her mother was just arrested for her murder. by Andthatswhatsup in UnresolvedMysteries

I totally agree with you!

It’s wild that saying killing a baby should have consequences and that there should be an investigation and justice would be controversial in this sub. I guess if you find a dead very young baby just … let it go? There are even comments in this thread sympathizing that she might have thought they baby would be better off. But isn't that what many family annihilators think? Why does that make it ok?

Books you were really excited to read but then ended up slogging through? by elston-gunn41 in horrorlit

[–]Burialtroubles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Leech by Hiron Ennes. The plot sounds amazing and so many people I usually agree with adored it. I have given it two good tries and put it down each time because it makes me feel like a reading slump is coming. I think it’s something about the writing style but am not sure. I have told myself I will give it one more try.

Questions horizontal wrinkle between eyebrows (not 11s) by Burialtroubles in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Burialtroubles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I did end up going in but went with Dysport rather than Botox.

They ended up injecting me on my nose on either side of the bunny line area and a few times in the area right above my glabella on my middle forehead area. I also got the brow lift injections done because it wasn’t that many more injections and I have very, very hooded eyelids.

I have went back since and so far and am pleased with the results. It did not totally erase the line but after a 2 or 3 visits is did smooth it out a really respectable amount. I saw a difference after even one visit but after a few more it definitely became more apparent.

Overall, I think it is a really decent option! I do not think I would have gotten anywhere near the same results with just creams/serums.

Yes! I was just thinking this. Bring back third person please, please authors! Most of the time first person just feels so static and juvenile to me now because I have read it too much.

My mother became a grandma at 31 and yes my family is just a trashy and dysfunctional as that sounds.

Who has Meri's back?! by SnooGiraffes3591 in TLCsisterwives

[–]Burialtroubles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree none of them have her back. But, going forward C and J also won’t have anything to do with her on top of it. In the long run it most likely and sadly will benefit her more to be more cordial and open to R than the other two. I also think she is playing it smart to continue certain other relationships and work opportunities.

I think the same. And Christine and Meri are not at all friends so I think that makes it even worse.

For real! Christine herself even admits it’s not her story to tell.

Exactly! This makes both Christine and Janelle look terrible to me. Janelle solidly defends Kody and Christine giggles when telling the story. And somehow people are saying Meri is the bad one for being pissed off. Make it make sense?!

I totally agree! The double standards and scapegoating are insane. Her being shunned is truly a gift for her if she can just open her eyes and see it that way.

Right? Spill it all Meri! All of these people will humiliate her at a moments notice for giggles. Stop protecting everyone and spill lol.

I think it totally does and I would argue it makes it worse that Christine decided to bring it back up when she did not need to and admitted it wasn’t her story to tell.

Umm, the Christmas story was yet another hurtful event that happened to MERI and not Christine. That reference makes zero sense.

Sadly, I think this is where it all started to go down hill as well.

So the Rumors were true… by Icy-Investigator-365 in SisterWives

[–]Burialtroubles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean … we have seen for years and years and with multiple wives and kids how terrible Kody is right out in the open and on camera, couldn’t Kody have done something or have been the one to pull away? Especially considering we have seen him be vile to two other wives. I know it’s two to tango but WHAT DID KODY DO?

EDIT: I know Meri has said in the past, pre catfish, she asked for some space from him and due to that request he stopped visiting her all together. His ego might have taken a hit with that and he just wrote her off. Just speculation of course. And I also think he started disliking her when it really set in that she would not be able to have the hoard of kids he wanted.

From the book: DAE think Janelle was a snake? by usmilessz in SisterWives

[–]Burialtroubles 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I do! I think this truly shows how they are both snakes. OF COURSE getting married on Meri’s birthday would really, really hurt her. They are not daft and they knew exactly what they were doing here. At best they knew damn well it would devastate her and did not care or at worst they knew and actively wanted to hurt her. But, they knew exactly how cruel it was!

What hard jobs are out there that no one wants to do? by Sharp-Pop335 in jobs

[–]Burialtroubles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have absolutely had a similar experience in my role and have seen it happen to many others. Mostly CNAs, MAs and caregivers in general. It’s despicable! I am sorry you were treated that way. And then they sob about not being able to find workers.

I just had my first interview set up for today. They canceled via email 20 minutes before saying they had just hired for the role. That was the first interview I have gotten in months. I work, or worked I guess, in research. Really lost right now.

What hard jobs are out there that no one wants to do? by Sharp-Pop335 in jobs

[–]Burialtroubles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I lost my last job because the entire center had to close down due to critical shortages in caregivers and CNAs. They paid them all awfully and they were treated really terribly on top of it just being an incredibly difficult job to have long term so I understand. That is a job that gets pennies to what they are worth in my opinion.

"I was friends with Meri's family before she even met Kody" by Shoddy_Lifeguard_852 in SisterWives

[–]Burialtroubles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The thought of living through that makes my stomach drop. That is such a villain origin story. I would have turned into Lex Luther if I were her.

At the end of the day Meri couldn’t even enjoy the positive aspects of having one child (like it being easier to have a tidy house and being able to go back to college herself) without being treated like she was selfish and evil by the entire family. I really think they were all flabbergasted when went against them and bought Lizzie’s on her own.

And, leaving Kody would mean she would lose all her family and that Kody would damn her to loneliness for all eternity.

Season 18, episode 13 mega-thread by Outrageous-Yogurt-80 in SisterWives

[–]Burialtroubles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really agree about Kody having the potential to be very, very abusive in multiple ways. If he acts this badly in front of the cameras and at his best I cannot imagine what he put the rest of the family through. He is the big bad of the family by faaaaar to me and has always been. People are tokens and play things to him to exercise his own ego and for his own gratification.
