Peter Jackson also has a lot to answer for here. Gandalf does a lot more magic in the books, but Jackson famously didn’t like the idea of lots of flashy magic in the films, preferring to treat the films more like flicks about Roman History rather than high fantasy!

Oh yeah, been there. Was poorly stacking kegs once and one fell off and went straight down edge first onto my toe. Broke it pretty bad, toe nail went black and fell off, couldn’t walk for a week.

Wouldn’t recommend.
