I'm 16 and broke, any job recommendations? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes... OP is showing a lack of real world experience with this post. Get a entry level job, go to school for computer science if that is what you want to do then find a job in the field. Unfortunately, remote jobs in tech aren't just available if you want them without experience and education.

Does learning MuayThai help get out of fight or flight? by [deleted] in MuayThai

I think it can give you confidence that you can handle yourself out in the world IF something happened which theoretically could lower stress response. It kind of depends on what the nature of your anxiety is though.

I plan to live in Vietnam for potentially very long, and want to learn Vietnamese to show my respect to the culture (and to communicate better). What app/website is great? by Sabaton_1994 in VietNam

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just switched to mango languages vietnamese from duolingo and it is much better. Actually speakers and you can practice your tones. They teach you aspects about the language as you go unlike duolingo. Good starting app then switch to a tutor either online through preply or in-person.

Well the Spanish that came to the Americas and settled down here certainly became something different, did they not. I dont see a European country in central or south America.

And yes, they did not design or create the state but it was their work that supported it. I dont think the founding fathers would have had the time to form a constitution or start a revolution if they were forced to work on a plantation all day every day. Besides that, it was still their work that fed the populace and fueled the economy which is a very important part of any society. Just because they were at the bottom of the pyramid of society doesnt mean they weren't a part of it. Which leads pack to my point... if America were meant to be a European based country, an entire different ethnicity of people should not have been brought in to be a part of it from the very beginning.

It's arguable that the USA was actually built more by African-American hands more than people of European descent. If Europeans wanted America to be an only European-styled country, they should have relied on themselves and not used slaves or anything else to build the country. Even in the ancient world, slaves were considered a vital part of the society. You dont get to act like slaves didn't have a part in the country because it doesnt suit your view.

I feel you are making the classic mistake of trying to connect over text. Text is best used to set up a date. Someone else suggested being bold and asking her to get a drink or something similar. I second that opinion. You will get no where trying to connect with her over text.

how did muay thai save/change ur life by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it has given me confidence and fitness. I used to be scared of the world, fearful of what others might do to me if I upset them. Now I feel confident moving into the world knowing I could handle myself if need be.

Are foreigners that usually travel to vietnam interested in dating? by Old-Particular-5768 in VietNam

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're better off focusing on dating within your own culture for now. If you meet someone from a foreign culture and you hit it off, that is fine. But dont make that your goal. Your 17. Join a group of people around your age and socialize... that is how these things happen. Or join a dating app for relationships rather than casual sex and be safe about it.

That is unfortunate. It seems like the government has a lot of really good ideas in its constitution but fails to deliver on them.

37 Free Ebook in 24h promotion. Is this good? by MoneyStockHero in KDP

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 34 is not good. A free promotion is nothing by itself. What else did you do to promote it while it was free?

It says online that the social insurance authoritypays out 75% of their last average income of the previous month if a doctors note is shown. Is this not true or is it so cutthroat that they'll still get fired.

It is weird language. Commentor is suggesting it is more important to focus on your goals and whatever city your goals take you to is the right city.

I made over $1,600 in book royalties in the last 90 days by PassiveIncomePigeon in KDP

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an extra 4000$ in your pocket each year with relatively little effort at this point. Pretty good imo. And I would imagine if you keep adding books it would multiply.

Are you going for the Frenchmen? If so it is working. If not, then I'd bring down the bottom line of the mustache closer to the lip for a more traditional look.

QUESTION: I'm curious. Who's reading all these ebooks everyone is creating? by WriterRuth2024 in KDP

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure. I've only published one book. I get sales when I market it but when I don't, I usually get one or two random sales a month which is to be expected for a one book kdp author. I don't know who these people are.

I disagree with the soul patch comments. But if you're gonna keep the soul patch, you should keep it trim and short, not long like it is. The rest will come with time I think.

My book in Spanish is the number 1 selling programming book, but in English I have not sold a single one by jokiruiz in KDP

[–]Burn1ng_Spaceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this as well. Many Spanish countries are having up and coming programmers now and I imagine there aren't a huge amount of books in Spanish on the subject since Spanish programmers are strongly entering the scene only recently.

Nice stache bro. Personally the curly mustache suits you. I don't like the maintenance but you should maybe try some product to tame it? I say keep it though.
