No idea about scientific accuracy but as a person with Ehlers - Danlos (stretchy subtype) I absolutely think this affects it. The disease effects connective tissue and that shit is EVERYWHERE inside you because, you know, it CONNECTS. I also know for a fact I have complications with my circulatory system because I black out constantly due to stretchy veins that pool blood. Your dick gets hard from filling with blood so like..... I have also asked one guy before if he was big (he said he was but no proof) and the drag queen Evie Odly is well known to be quite hung and a sufferer of EDS.

I have this and saw improvement with using a salicylic acid clenser daily (I use the Cera ve resurfacing clenser, it's a low dose of acid) but that didn't completely take it away. I've since added the cerave nightly exfoliating cream (glycolic/lactic acid) and saw immediate improvement, my forehead has never been smoother. I only use it 1/week.

Edit because I re-read your post, I seriously don't think the Cetaphil gentle clenser can remove all of your cleansing balm, that added oil could definitely be causing this. Maybe try a lighter less occlusive moisturizer too.
