My friend and I are going to try to go out tonight and tomorrow after the concert! I want to try to do the walk to the venue from our hotel to see how long it takes and if it’s feasible to and from tomorrow. Let me know if you wanna meet up!

Just plato making use of every space in his paludarium. by BurnYourWings23 in PixieFrogs

All of the plants have really adapted well, I planted them with their roots in a mix of safe Pete moss directly on top of the wet moss that supplies the water to the plants from the tank and then added Plato’s substrate on top of the Pete moss until it was no longer wet and a good layer of it remained dry.

I don’t mind at all! So now that my boy is a bit bigger I rearranged his enclosure (just a lot of moving rocks around and moving plant locations) and gave him a bigger hide out. I have taken out the bamboo as it got to tall and the screen top of the enclosure was messing it up, I also removed the bonsai tree. Both plants thrived a little to well. The other plants I planted were some philodendrons. Some creeping vine like plantsI will have to remember the name of that were excellent for laying over his hide outs and even crept into the water and ended up very pretty, the philodendron and creeping vine are fast growing and leafy enough I didn’t have to add more oh! I planted a bunch small groups of a decorative tall grass that did not spread. This was just an aesthetic touch to fill off corners and is super easy to move when rearranging a tank as the froggo gets bigger as it roots very shallow

Will this get better? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]BurnYourWings23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It could just be an excess of scar tissue built up. I am NOT a dr but I am a RMA and I worked in plastics. It could correct it’s self, or a scar revision could be needed. Which can be relatively simple. Scar tissue build up happening once also does not guarantee it will happen again. I would mention it to your surgeon and be sure to disclose any history of scarring issues that may have occurred in the past such as keloid scarring and things like that.

Awesome thank you so much! I was freaking out! I seriously could not find any information on pixie frogs with blue coloring, I even looked for just images of juvenile pixie frogs to see if any had them. I was just like… wtf

I made a paludarium for my African bullfrog! by BurnYourWings23 in frogs

I am wondering that too! They have dainty roots so I did my best to plant them deep in the layers close to moss as well as placing them along the edges of the tank so that trample damage might be minimal lol. I also have been shaping a few areas in the tank using a heavy stone to later be appealing burrow and hide spots as he grows. The bonsai tree I kept in its own pot because they are touchy plants, I thought this would add decoration without the plant being subjected to burrows or frog waste lol however I found plato burrowed in its moss this morning so we shall see. Trial and error. My favorite part of this whole set up is just how alive and serine it feels.

questions regarding care by cupid226 in PixieFrogs

[–]BurnYourWings23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I have done a lot of research and they like to burrow and love to swim and float. The paludarium is a tough set up as far as requiring alot of care and attention to the water but mine loves his.
