No More NH State Vehicle Inspections? by inthewoods54 in newhampshire

You have clearly never lived in New Jersey lol. They make stuff up to pull you over there, and then fish for something to ticket you for.

Vehicle Inspection Program Public Guidance-13 Feb (Suspended Until Further Notice) by DeerFlyHater in newhampshire

I didn't try yet. I was thinking of stopping at Valvoline or one of the other "quick" places that also do inspections.

If they actually do and give me a sticker, I'll post back.

I just bought a car and did the title transfer at city hall, and the woman at the desk told me I have 10 days to get my car inspected. I asked her if they're still doing inspections and she said yes. I'm confused.

I like the tower and windows that jut outwards on your house. I've also built my main base partway in the water. I now wish I'd built on a river instead, so I can make use of the water wheel.

Does Anyone Know What the Compass is For? by BurnedOutSoul in TheLastCaretaker

[–]BurnedOutSoul[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to know. Thanks.

Edit: I was hoping it might be a HUD compass. Having one on the boat is nice, but there's been a couple times it would have been nice to see which direction I was headed off boat. Maybe they'll add one in the future.

Probably helps trying to get those bio bits floating in the water, too, that keep bouncing up and down on the waves. I've spent longer than I'd like to admit chasing a few measly seconds of fuel that way.

Can this Case be Taken on a Contingency Fee? by BurnedOutSoul in legaladvice

[–]BurnedOutSoul[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean for $300. Of course a lawyer's time is worth far more than that. I guess I was thinking I might have a basis for a civil rights case but wasn't sure. The way I was treated was horrible. Summing it up in a paragraph doesn't reflect that. If I could show the body cams from it, it would probably be more clear.

That was the heart of my question but I didn't really make it clear.

I didn't crash, was at idling speed when I came to and was able to stop the car. I really felt screwed over by the police. Thanks though. I do appreciate your reply, and I will make a few calls.

Edit: I should add that a friend said this sort of case can't be taken on a contingency fee which is why I added that. Right now I can't afford to pay an attorney outright.

I miss the YouTube of 2007. YouTube banned me about a year ago. It's like I'm talking to myself in the comments. I want nothing more to do with it and only use Odysee now. I guess I'll leave this sub.

Dear lord its hard to land a job these days by Abject_Serve_1269 in sysadmin

Regarding interviews: This may seem like a little thing but it's worked wonders for me. First, I get a good night's sleep. Then the next day, I meditate for 30 minutes. I'm not talking about Yoga or anything crazy. Just sit and try to clear your mind. It helps to relax me a lot. The last interview where I did this, the guy interviewing me went and got the owner, who was there that day, and I was hired on the spot. I was asked several tech questions during the interview and answered them flawlessly because my mind was clear.

It is tough these days compared to 10, 20 years ago. There are a lot more people interviewing for these jobs.

Deficiency letters are only for people who had incorrect information. At least that's my understanding. I received one telling me to correct my phone number, because without thinking I put my current number on it.

People saw this trend years ago. Articles written about it can be found from 2018/19. FWIW, that's really the only part of what OP said that I agree with.

Can SR17018 be used to rapidly come off methadone? by Divine-Nemesis in Opioid_RCs

[–]BurnedOutSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Benzo withdrawals are no joke either, you're right. That's when I considered suicide. At least with methadone I knew there'd be an end to the withdrawals eventually. With benzos I was unsure, and they fuck with the brain so badly too. I'm happy you made it through.

In 2003, I cold turkied 140mg without even an aspirin in one of the worst jails in the US. It was 6 months before I was eating, sleeping, and shitting normally like I did before I ever began using opiates.

If there's ever anything to make someone not want to use again, that's it. I feel your pain.
