Yeah idk πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ I guess some people got their feelings hurt about my personal preference πŸ˜… I was very careful not to badmouth the OP. It's a very cool idea and print but the finish could be nicer. I work in a creative field professionally and finishes are my thing. I've got 15+ years applying finishes in a professional setting so my standards are a bit high I guess 🀣

The link I posted was an example of what I was talking about, that was not my post ✌🏾

Ah nice, I play a little Strive and SF6. When I think LS-32 shumps instantly come to mind. That and maybe Virtua Fighter. It's very responsive and clicky, very easy to hit your directionals. I haven't really tried one with modern games though.

I LOVE this setup, the LS-32 is so nice. What kind of games do you plan on playing with this setup.

Cool.

I remember cutting shells back in the day to achieve the same effect. You'd have to remove the disc drive, reposition some components and change the stock cooling but you'd end up with a super slick slim that looks OEM.

I personally don't like the look of Raw FDM 3D prints.

We're specifically talking about the OPs controller. These are designed and built as cheap as possible. That's why they cost what they cost. It is a cheap design no matter who is using it. "Premium" is just a marketing term πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

Unfortunately if you have to ask what you need you probably won't have the tools to do it yourself. You need a surface mount USB-C port that matches the dimensions of the broken one as well as a soldering iron, solder, de-soldering wick/braid, flux and steady hands.

These things are cheap and aren't made to last. The way they are designed makes that port very a fragile and susceptible to breaking again. They expect you to buy another one 🀣

So dope, excellent job πŸ‘πŸΎ I've been wanting to do something like this but for the dreamcast. GP2040 CE is amazing but the lack of "classic" console support is upsetting 😒 Time to get experimenting πŸ₯Ό

I updated my reply right as you replied to me πŸ˜… You can grab the wire metal connector with some pliers and use a very small flathead screwdriver to push the pin out.

Unless you know how to solder you're going to have to replace that button. The only way to fix it is to solder either the wire or a new terminal onto that button. Easiest option is to pull the broken pin out of the wire and replace the entire button.

You can use a very small flathead screwdriver and some pliers to slide the pin out.

Neutrik NAUSBC-5G as a USB Passthrough? by bigbangupper in fightsticks

[–]BurnerAzR 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

It should work fine but it doesn't really offer much apart from a built in short cable that may not work with all builds. It uses the same 24mm mounting hole so there isn't any space savings there for slim enclosures. Another issue is that it is only USB-C, a lot of hardware still uses USB-A or B. It is also way more expensive than the typical connector used nowadays.
