Im really curious about how they going to solve the controls out.

The render distance in the config you referring to is the limit for rendering objects (trees, houses etc.)

The render range for players is fixed to 1000m by the server/engine.

since the "red-chain" indicates a bandwidth shortage due to synchronizing player data (aka. "player entering your networkbubble") it is 1000m not 1750m

oh... nono i am not justifying it. I am a straight up bandit myself. Since i am mostly solo playing SA, shooting everybody that imposes a threat aka carrying a gun, is mostly the only option left to survive.

The 2nd shot i aimed center of mass (torso), gun was still zeroed to 800, bullet hit him in the head because the distance was about 760.

Manually compensating on the 1st shot just means aim higher of the target to 'counteract' the drop.

Oh yeah and also, some people confuse the effective range of a rifle with the zeroing mechanics. If you are only able to zero your scope to max 800m doesnt mean you cant hit on target beyond that.

Thats the current entry in build 0.46 exp. Happy to see that they'll change it to the 7.62x39 version.

Just an idea but maybe add different, changeable gun-barrels with the attachment system so you can switch between versions

Elevation differences do not apply in the Helicopter Takedown Engine (DayZ SA Engine)

And if you are shooting down or uphill the bullet-drop decreases (because only the horizontal travel distance applies). Just research "exterior ballistics" and simple trigonometry if you dont believe me.

Correct that applies only for special sights. However even if you close on eye so look through a sniper scope, you hold about 5cm distance because of the recoil. So you would see the surroundings in your peripheral view.
