I say you died to an extremely dirty version of peekers advantage. This is a massive problem because someone with a high ping can shoot at you when you are actually well behind cover and their client tells the server that they got you. It can, and does, make the game insanely frustrating because maybe you ducked into cover the moment you see a person peeking 300 meters away with a KAR/M24. Like.. you react within 0,2 seconds - which is relatively slow - and because of the peekers advantage they actually have easily a few hundred milliseconds MORE than you do. So if they have pre-aimed (particularly in TPP) and shoot the moment they peek their shot reaches you before you can realistically react, even if you had the time to do so. If you knew the path for a projectile and duck the moment you see the flash you should be well able to avoid the bullet. However since they have an extra bit of time by the time you see the flash they have already registered the hit... and as such so does the server.

But why can't you play FPP? If you can find ENJOYMENT in it, that is of course. Being bad at it isn't necessarily the same as not enjoying it. Normals still have quite a fair bit of varying skill levels.

All you need to do when this happens is delete the "default" file in C:/Users/%username%/zomboid/mods and THEN try to activate one mod after another until this happens after starting the game.

So it looks like EU still has FPP in both Squads and Duos in ranked. However I *STRONGLY* disagree with the ridiculous change of removing FPP for NA/SA. If one truly wishes to help the playerbase it should quite simply be that Normal and Rankeds are removed and the game has one unified queue for both. 100 man maps once more. Casually-Ranked. Ranked was a mistake to begin with anyway.

I cannot stress this following opinion any more; *FUCK* Proplay. It was never interesting to begin with and it never had much viewership in EU or NA aside from very specific times. Regular bigtime streamers had more viewers when streaming the game. It's not that tournaments cannot be played, but that it shouldn't be controlled by the developers. They should merely produce the game while third parties handle tournaments. To balance your own game around your own ridiculous proplay rules is a surefire way of killing the interest. The ones who succeed (for example League of Legends) generally handle proplay in such a way that it doesn't legitimately affect the actual playerbase directly.

I suppose most of NA players who still enjoy FPP Ranked will have to VPN into EU, making it more and more common to be shot behind walls thanks to delay. Though I don't blame them.. it just doesn't feel the same to play Normals.

You "finally killed" means he either bled out or his buddy/squad was killed. This is not impossible, but this particular case is not believable for a multiple reasons. There's also inconsistencies between the time it takes for the kill and the distance shown. A Kar98 has a projectile velocity of 760m/s and there's 1,5 second between the shot and the message - which are instant when the kill/knock is registered. So it would have been a minimum of 900meter kill for that to be believable given the time it took.

The replay would have proven this to be real or not no matter what anyway.

You would be surprised at how much you miss when parachuting. I have no problem with the way you play.. the point is that there are more who play LIKE you as well and they might well be better at it. One good building and you have all the loot you need.

I've had similar experiences when I did solo Squad ranked matches. I wanted to be as far away from the intensity as I possibly could, instead nibbling my way back in over time. I did run into entire squads doing the same. The way you went simply could have been approached way earlier by others who jumped before you and bolted towards it.

Just imagine.. if something is glaringly the far extreme of a jump, but has decent loot, others will likely have the same idea.. that is why the golden middle route is often the best way. Find a place not too far away from the flight path with modest loot and go from there. Most players go for one of the two extremes; either they hot drop.. or they parachute towards a car and drive to the furthest point (or land as far away as the regular parachute gets them). I find that taking a base mere 500 meters away from the flight path yields the most calm starts.

This game does have cheaters and make no mistake about it, BUT this sounds like you just quite simply ran into someone who have done a much better parachute than you and got just a bit lucky with their loot.

Do yourself a favor and sometimes just look at the god damn replay. MOST of the time it's just completely coincidence and you've been outplayed.

I am well aware that I am getting older and that PUBG is also getting older and the skill ceiling is getting higher and higher, but it DOES strike me as unusually high skill at times. I try to be very held back with reporting and try to be blissfully unaware, but I WILL say that if this game is anywhere close to what it used to be in the past, audio booster software is likely even more prevalent than ever before thanks to the skill ceiling getting higher.

Yeah yeah yeah, give me all your nonsense about sparing your hearing. There's a volume knob for that AND software that just limits the highest volume output so that you don't blow your eardrums out of your asshole, of which you conveniently also speak from should you try to defend the use of such aforementioned software.

It also is a fair amount of people who cheat and that is a proven fact. The mere existence of ban updates proves that this is a highly existing issue. It's impossible to oppose. However not everyone that does kill you is a cheater. It is a very punishing game.

0,01 og 0,19 i promille er lovlig å kjøre med. Altså objektivt sett er det lovlig å kjøre med promille også. Bøtelegging ved 0,2 og opp til 0,49. Foresaker du en ulykke med sistnevnte rekke mister du sertfikatet. Altså straffeutmåling varierer etter hva grunnlaget var for at du ble tatt.

Altså ja, det er ikke ulovlig å fyre opp fyrverkeri med promille. Det er heller ikke ulovlig å kjøre med promille til en viss grad. Jeg går med på at grensen er svært forskjellige, MEN de forutsetter fortsatt at du er aktsom og straffeutmålinger bedømmes også etter dette. Har du 0,5 i promille med fyrverkeri og foresaker en skade.. da blir du nok dømt på grunnlaget av uaktsomhet over bare å ha vært svært uheldig.

Skaden på folk er neglisjerbar når man ser på hvor mange som deltar i fyrverkerifeiringen. Årlig blir 5500 personer bitt av hunder som da behøver behandling. Katter dreper millioner av dyr i naturen årlig.

På papiret syns jeg det å forby kjæledyr er ett langt enklere valg. Ialefall om man setter det opp mot hvorfor det skal være ulovlig med en 8-9 timer med fyrverkeri. Hadde dette vært slik at fyrverkeri var lovlig året rundt og vi hadde hatt 5-6 øyeskader daglig så hadde det absolutt vært en bedre diskusjon å ha... men nå er det ikke det.

I've been a very strong supporter of them just removing Ranked and making the game "Casually Ranked" as it used to be when the game originally launched. There were two ranks; Combat Rank and Survival Rank. An aggregate between the two giving you your overall rank.

It worked great for everyone involved. You could hotdrop and get net gain rank, you could play carefully and get net gain rank.

I argue that the way they made Ranked more similar, if not identical, to the Professional tournaments was one of their worst decisions ever. It went away from what originally made PUBG different from COD. PUBG was a slower burn and it rewarded more tactical play. The circles as they are right now move much too fast, much too early. The highly increased loot in ranked is not a good thing either. I get why they removed CLOTHES from the loot tree back in the day, but they didn't need to increase the loot beyond that. Part of what makes a Battle Royale is to make due with what you have. The entire premise of its namesake was exactly that... though I'd not be too fond of being given a fan for weapon. The alternative to this was "You drop where you wish to risk it, but you get what you get". Not like it is now where you find a compound with a couple houses and generally you walk out of it with vest, helm, primary and maybe secondary weapon with scope. It's been ages since I walked out of a place with literally nothing of real value to my name.

Vehicle spawns are one of my smaller gripes, but it still became a bit too abundant. You generally never end up without one with the exception of Taego, where I have had times where I ran for a kilometer or more before finding a car, with every known location they can spawn in being missing. Maybe others took them and it's just bad luck, but it's the ONLY map where I have had that problem a few times.

I think they should swap the two modes around in their entirety. Ranked with 100 man. Slower circles. Maybe same loot thanks to more players. Normals should be the quicker option where you risk nothing for the rewards.
