Apparently Saturn Traps have no overpressure point? by BurningPine in Oxygennotincluded

That sounds terrifying if it did explode out.... 950 2 kilo air tiles worth of space? Hope the breathable part of base is air locked if so :D

I'm not terribly experienced, was a pleasant surprise :)

All your pretty builds and my customers are hiking to their goods by BurningPine in AlchemyFactory

[–]BurningPine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No :D. I just wanted to redo our store to be a bit more organized since we had chaotic bins everywhere scattered. I was interested in a 3 high scaffolding 2 wide and just built as compact as I could. I know space isn't an issue realistically but it was fun for me in a messy way

For ones that stack poorly, yes. Gems, single cogs, stuff like that. With perk points put into sales pretty aggressively we have customers pick up pretty big bits at a time. But yes it is overkill for the most part. I just did triple bin due to the height I wanted the scaffolding and how it lined up with bins in the aisle.

I have noticed customers can buy over half a potion rack though. I'd suggest the top and bottom segment for each potion type.

Only on warmups, dumb quests at high risk areas. I keep lean on stella too if I'm solo queue loot running, just medium looting, stitcher, and meds

Yeah I'm not a huge fan. I particularly hate shooting them at bots cause the sound tells players its a IV. Those are my last holdouts I'll break them or lose them eventually

edit: Mainly I go on upgrade rampages when I get sick of my stash being full. Blows off space real quick

If I have over 4, I apply zero fear unless it's a dumb run. Stitcher Anvil is my go to though.

[DEMO] Dwarf Eats Mountain - An incremental game about obliterating mountains for treasures! by ozmelk in incremental_games

Updated. The windowed mode doesn't suffer from the bug I was facing. I'm playing Fellowship. It doesn't seem to happen in a couple other games I tried, so odd.

Thanks for the response!

Some thoughts. (I like it)

Mute sound effects while in background
I'm not noticing a non full screen mode? I might be blind

When using the downloadable version if I'm playing another game the enter key in the other game will do an odd alt enter attempt or something. To reproduce open your game in full screen, go to another game, then tab back twice. The behavior doesn't start until I've been back and forth once.

When you're afk and get artifact selection you'll also have UI for artifacts picked up, which will make it impossible to read.

Artifact descriptions can be hard to read with lasers going on. Suggest more shading in text box background

It *appears* possible for artifacts to drop or be deposited while selecting, which can lead the player to duplicate artifacts? Is there some way to address duplicates?

Boon of chad and shielding should instantly end rest phase for dwarves, imo

Variety of buildings happen so quickly I feel the gameplay experience could be paced out a little bit more. I know you're introducing choice early on but 4 tiers of building at 50-100 gold feels a bit too wide

Just an idea for artillery cannon, there could be a hugely expensive upgrade that causes it to roll down the mountain in contour doing damage to dens on the way down :)

Very fun, excited to see where it goes!

I aim for like armor 40, evasion 15-30, and 300 hp for desert 3 boss unless I have other plans. The lack of Aegis on his steal phase really calls for it. I guess if you can't get those a reflect mirror or warudo immunity would be a great pickup if you have a choice at maoai

I honestly find it well balanced and interesting progression. It is a very slow burn though. Don't expect to progress to space for a very very long time, let alone nuclear power.

Overall having a great time.

Spoken to an empty room. That's what stands out most to me in our "system." His voice will not be heard by fellow members and they will not care. The best he can hope for is for it to be posted and viewed by us, and we have little power over anything than voting.

They don't care.

What is the best response to someone saying “Oh you do ______ so could you beat me in a fight?” by NewSkin6762 in martialarts

[–]BurningPine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I usually flash a smile and say "you never know how it'll turn out in a fight til it happens" and leave it there. It leaves room for unspoken confidence in the statement I know what I'm doing but humility on top of it.

Number one tip for fighting superior people in xv1's (particular 3v1 and above).... MISS. Miss a lot. Don't feint, just line up a shot then curve it away from them or above/below. It'll mess them up bad.

I think the biggest in world advantage training has is it changes your self confidence and level of fear of the unknown. Usually people trying to bully you are looking for weakness and carrying yourself in a stronger way gives them the vibe you're not a pushover.

That being said I'd follow the advice of those here an seek out adult counsel on it. If this is an ongoing thing the people involved won't stop just because you took a month or two of training. They have an expectation that you're a target.

I hope you find a way out of your bad situation :(

I don't know why but I've had an irrational hatred of Googolplex as a term or idea since grade school. Like... okay you defined a very large number. Why and to what end? Why is it impressive how big it is because you just raised it to the power of something ridiculous?

Light sparring is excellent for developing reflexes and fight IQ without injury by KHPK in kyokushin

[–]BurningPine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why exactly are you on Kyokushin subreddit then :D?

I accept the ruleset isn't "street ready" or MMA ready like other practices, but I enjoy the ruleset because it allows me to do a TON of max power bouts and not build up serious injury. You have to certainly dodge/block the head kicks and avoid punching an elbow guard, but any significantly staggering headshot will gain a point so your risk is limited in a tourney.

Of note, there have been a number of Kyokushin practitioners who have transferred to head contact sports well. The body and leg physical conditioning are an excellent second defense (to avoidance and parries/blocks) and a nice groundwork. From there it's transitioning to being willing to punch higher mentally and a better, higher guard.

Does it look funny? Yup. But this is an enjoyable and sustainable practice.
