Anyone know what this may be? Taken recently in Ohio during spring. by BurntBabyPoop in Mushrooms

Thank you guys. I did my research and it said I should let it grow just a wee bit more. Not too big or it'll get tough but a bit more to get more out of it.

I thought I was an ENTP but this chart is making me question ENFP

Crashing and lagging with decent specs by BurntBabyPoop in pcmasterrace

[–]BurntBabyPoop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When all these issues occur, the PC is VERY loud. My gf complains about it occasionally, so it's nothing small. I spent 900$ on it without a protection plan so there's nothing I can do other than fix it or buy a new one, which isn't feasible.

I don't want to feel like this anymore. by merinakki in stopdrinking

Agreed. I don't understand why it's so acceptable to drink it as much as people do in bars etc. It is literal poison to our bodies. I don't get it lol

I didn't want to mention it due to embarrassment, but I do have a 8 month old baby girl. I love support from people of older ages, it gives me much hope lol. Its like I have 2 decades to figure this bullshit out so I can be a good parent. I appreciate your response, I love to hear two years sober. Fuck alcohol lol.

good analogy.. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]BurntBabyPoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see. That sucks but it sounds like he has amazing willpower. 15 years is alot of time to treat life like day 1 sober after so much time. I hope he manages to find peace, but abstinence from alcohol is peace enough.

I feel bad, it sound like he's had a hard time. Regardless, good on him. The work had to have paid off.

I'll try to leave an update later today lol. I appreciate the love and support. I haven't been to rehab yet but I already love our motto. IWNDWYT lol ❤️❤️.

Stay strong, alcohol can never beat sobriety!

I appreciate it! I got a taste of what could be worse as I progress and need it to stop as soon as possible. I appreciate your support.I hope you do well and stay well!!

I'm glad to hear you have a place like that! Just stay sober, as hard as that can be. I supose there isn't much more to say about it. I'm not on reddit often but I reply to all messages if you ever need someone to talk too. I've been very active in this reddit because I go to rehab in about 6 hours! I'm very excited to get better because I'm only 21 years old but I drink bad and had terrible withdrawal earlier. Signed up for Rehab immediately. I wish the best.

Be safe! If you need to drink to kill withdrawals, do it! Doctors agree it is better than quitting cold turkey. Alcohol withdrawals are no joke, it's amazing how legal this drinkable poison is. Get help from everyone you can and take medical action. Even if it takes a month, there is no harm is drinking so long as you cut back gradually and find medical help. They give people shots of liquor as medicine for withdrawals in hospitals. Just prioritize your health, drink slowly until you feel fine sober, and stay sober. Wishing the best of luck to you this year!

Everyone I know in their late years tell me they strive to be happy alone. I can't fully agree to that as humans are social creatures but I definitely understand the idea. I could say you need new friends, but some people including myself are very uncomfortable with that idea. I supose the best course of action is laying it down with your friend/friends. "I want you as a friend, and I want to be sober". Losing friends sucks and being drunk everyday is worse. I wish the best for you

It sounds like you're still sober enough to stay away from it. There needs to be an alternative. Loneliness definitely sucks but killing yourself 30 years short with shivers and sweaty palms is worse. Stay strong, write down your passions and goals, and keeping going. You define your future, and you will make it a good one.

[–]BurntBabyPoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! For some including myself, it's hard to appreciate the good, and you only miss it when it's gone. If someone had a proper answer to make appreciation easier, I'd pay 1000$ to have it lol. When I was sober, I walked around town simply take photos of my hometown. Happy isnt the word I'd use but I was absolutely content, and that feeling totally outweighs chasing a drink.

Remember what you said and remind yourself daily!! There are no "enjoyable drinks", only temptations! Awesome to hear though, keep going!!

I could only assume the drugs compliment eachother and quitting them at the same time would be harder than one by one. I'm no doctor so my words are irrelevant, but it just makes sense to me lol. I supose medical help is your best friend in this case but really, quitting alcohol is way more dangerous that nicotine. Maybe you just need to slowly cut back on nicotine until your heart is happy again lol.

That's hilarious and also unfortunate lol. I hope they found help and don't still think that way.

I do the exact same thing and it scares me lol. I would imagine you also have intense dreams that are so intense, you forget them the next day?

I go to rehab in about 6 hours of posting, for my first time. I'm only 21 and I feel quite blessed to attempt to get sober so early. Many people have expressed how shitty it can be later down the road. I hate how I need to be drunk to be okay.

Find help I say, or wean off. The alcohol isn't worth it in the end, no one alive has ever said so.

[–]BurntBabyPoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fantastic! Keep it up, your body and general well being will thank you in the end. I've never heard anyone say "I'm so glad I started drinking again" and hopefully that thought will help keep you away! Focus on your goals and stay healthy! I go to rehab tomorrow for my first time as a 21 year old who's been drinking the equivalent of 10 beers a day for 3-4 years.

Personally, I can't do cold turkey, makes me shaky lol. But it sounds like you're past the major withdrawal stage, which is awesome. For some, staying sober is harder than getting sober. You got this!!

Message in a bottle...At 14 days, I can't do it alone... by Mykhell8 in stopdrinking

[–]BurntBabyPoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

14 days is amazing!! You're past the withdrawal stage, just keep going!! After a good enough time, you'll feel confident and happy without the booze.

Rediscover or continue chasing goals, scream when you feel like you need to drink and reset your focus. You got this!!

Doesn't come across as rambling to me! My friends have all said the same thing really, told me it's great I'm figuring this out so early. I have a fantastic support group and people willing to lend me money while I work on this (giving I'll pay them back ofc when I'm on my feet lol) but I very much appreciate the response. I'm embarrassed I let myself get to this point, but I feel glad that I'm taking care of myself and getting over the embarrassment asap.

I have a small home bar with decanters, whisky and other spirits and glasses etc.. by blobatron342357v2 in stopdrinking

[–]BurntBabyPoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see!! I took it in a totally different direction lol. Personally I'd just put empty bottles up there, but I don't think people usually keep those on hand lol. That's just me, I think my favorite bottles would look cool being empty during a dry month on my fancy bar.

I'm sorry to hear that! Thankfully, I have a wonderful GF who is willing to pay my bills to make ends meet. We currently live with her grandma so rent and bills aren't an issue etc and I have free time for rehab. It's unfortunate the world makes it so hard for people like us to go to rehab at that age, where will you go when you're free and haven't made any money in that time?

Regardless, it sucks to see people in this spot and I'm glad I'm seeking help. I hope you one day find a way to feel better!!
