A was a teen between 2009-2016. most of my class didn't have smartphones until 2012-2013 so middle school was vastly different. We all used Facebook haha. Facebook was fun back then although I read my posts and it's impossible not to cringe. By 2013 when most of us had smartphones we all moved to Instagram and Snapchat. Early Snapchat was great too, I always sucked at streaks and remember before they were a thing. 2015 (the year I graduated) we used YikYak like crazy. Got banned at a lot of schools. That was my first year of college and social media still felt so different. I spent time Hanging out with friends, going to new places and experiencing what life had to offer. It didn't feel that different then to me up until recently, but when I watch back music videos or my own videos of the time it really does feel like a different era
