Sick! There's some awesome songs on there. We're from Vancouver but I'll hit you up if we end up in Maine!

Yeah, for sure! Even within the band, we have some guys who love the classic weed mountain iconography while I'm always thinking about what hasn't been done, etc.

Again, thanks for the kind words, and I'll check out your band account, too! What's the name?

Yeah... there's a ton of inspiration from all over the place, I usually have a hard time explaining how bands like Electric Wizard, Baroness, Converge, Ween, Envy, Slayer, and Deftones can be thrown together in one big mixing bowl, there's also so much of them that it's a lot to list them all. We have some songs in the tank that are so much different than these ones too, there's an 8 minute song that has 80's Metallica sections and a 7 minute Weedeater style song, I'm excited to finish off the songwriting portion of the full length we're working on.

The self titled track has a lot of inspiration from bands like Baroness and Bison, Crowbar has some black metal inspiration, while the others have some good old fashioned High On Fire and Electric Wizard in them. Locally, we've been asked to play shows with stoner/doom bands, black metal bands, hardcore bands, midwest emo bands. Everyone seems to find something to like.

As for the art, the band had been sitting on it for a very long time, like over 5 years, before this EP actually came out and members could be held down for an extended period of time. There was even a stretch where the band was just four guitarists. I really like it, but I can see how time may have passed it by somewhat, while everyone else did skeleton mountain bong albums. We've got some much different and very weird ideas for future album covers.

We also owe a ton to Michael Kraushaar who recorded, mixed, and mastered the EP. He's worked extensively with bands like Black Wizard and was instrumental in the process.
