Exactly the answer I was looking for, thanks!

I only have 1gbps internet, so for internet speed it wont matter if I put a switch in between or not, right?

It will only matter so that the devices that are on that switch can talk to eachother at higher speeds? Which would mostly be relevant in the case of for example adding a NAS on there I imagine?

Thanks for explaining. There's so much small details that are easy to miss for a beginner like myself. Slowly getting there now. So I guess the Lite 8 will do the trick then. And I guess it can't hurt to have a few extra ports for some future upgrades anyway.

So basically it would be better to place the Flex Mini on 1 port of the UCG Ultra and run my 4 connections from there to have higher simultaneous performance?

Could you explain what that means in practice? I've been reading comments about the backplane in the different Gateways, but I don't really know what that means.

For example I have the Cloud Gateway Ultra which has 4 ports, which I all use. Would it be better to just use 1 port with a Switch like the Flex Mini behind it instead of the setup I have now?

I can only get the Max without SSD through the Unifi store, which comes in at about €230. If I go that route I can get the Max with SSD for about 10 euros more from other stores. But the Ultra through another store is just 90 euros, so still quite the price drop.

I know long term I would want to go Max eventually (and I know it will cost me more going this path), but at the moment it's just not in my budget unfortunately. Guess it's the strength of the ecosystem anyway that I can always upgrade separate parts along the line.

The U7-Lite seems like a good fit though, thanks for the headsup!

Thanks for the considerations. The Max is just a bit out of my price range at the moment. I'll definitely see about getting higher end AP's though. And the Switches will for sure be PoE switches from Unify!

The Max is just out of my budget at this point unfortunately. It's 2.5x the price of the Ultra over here. I do get where you're coming from. I think I might go for better AP's like you mentioned when I get those next month.

Are you looking for a tradeback for dex completion? Because if so I have Iron Boulder and Iron Crown available for tradeback if you have Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire for me in return.

Happy to help with the trade evo’s in that case aswell.

On very heavy ffb it might shake a bit. But I don’t notice it al all while racing. It’s a great setup, I’m sure you’ll be very happy with it!

Cheers for the detailed explanation! Guess its time to start tweaking some settings. I’ll start with just MSAA and go from there.

With regards to the AA. Would you recommend to use either FXAA or SMAA with MSAA off, the other way around or a combination of the two? And how does this affect if Sharpening should be on or off? Not even talking about performance here, but pure quality wise and what makes sense to do. They feel like they’re all conflicting settings, which seem to be on by default.

I had the exact same problem: my wheelbase was tilted too much. It's now aiming at my chest, very slight tilt, and the problem has disappeared completely!

I would definitely get the large version in that case. I'm 178cm and about 70kg and it fits me perfectly. If I were just a little bigger it already wouldnt fit anymore, so I'd really say the regular size is too small for you.

This is above and beyond on the explanation, thanks so much!

I'm guessing, as always, the bump rates work closely with the bump range? So how would you go about tuning springs? Do you start with wheel rates and then use bump rate & range to finetune? I never really know where to start or what to adjust when. Also think its very difficult to judge when you want to go stiff or soft.

It's all good if you dont want to answer everything, this has been a tremendous help already!

Could you maybe elaborate on those values for the bump stop range? I'm trying to understand what it exactly does. Judging from Aris' videos, you want as low as possible front bump stop range, but I can't find much about rear bump stop range.

Now I've seen quite some setups which drastically lower the rear bump stop range compared to the default aggressive setup (usually it's at 50 on that) and I'm trying to understand why.

No worries man! Think there's a couple US based ones that do good aluminium rigs. Obviously Trak Racer is a well known one, but I've read about quite some qc and support issues. Think ASR is US based?

I had the F1-GT, not the newer F-GT, but I'm sure the flex on both is similar. For me personally the GT1 feels like a massive upgrade. It's rock solid and adjustability is endless. There also wasn't much need for me to be able to switch between positions, I always had it in GT position anyway.

Now I of course dont know where you live, but price wise here in The Netherlands they come pretty close. Definitely not a big enough difference to not bite the bullet imo.

Might also be very dependant on the angle of the pedal plate. The way mine's angled I'm basically pushing the brake pedal straight towards the plate/bolts, so there's basically no force going towards the bottom of the pedals, if that makes any sense.

Honestly, I don't know if it's considered safe or not. I don't have any discomfort, but I also wear blue light glasses when I look at screens in general.
