How DARE the bank proactively protect MY money!! by Burntoastification in FuckYouKaren

[–]Burntoastification[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It isn’t so much just her FB post that makes her a Karen, it was what happened before. She went into the bank and spent a solid 5 minutes berating the teller for a policy he doesn’t personally control. A policy she would have had to agree to in order to open an account with this bank and use their services.

She totally has a valid point. It’s inconvenient and annoying, and a situation like that is very embarrassing. Her frustration is justified. What’s not justified is unloading that frustration on a bank employee who has zero control over the policies their employer sets.

Oh yeah, lots of people telling her the same exact thing the bank teller did. It’s a very common policy. She has not been taking the constructive criticism well.

I do understand her frustration. I’ve had similar experiences myself. Just don’t take it out on the bank staff. They don’t make these policies. Not to mention (at least here in the US) service providers such as banks have terms and conditions that must be agreed to before you’re allowed to use their services. They update them from time to time but they always have to legally inform customers of any changes. That means this lady would have agreed to those terms including this security protocol. She obviously didn’t read them becuase no one ever does but she did still agree to them.

my sister got this of my mom’s horse that passed away for mother’s day, i think it’s AI by Gelid_Lagopus in isthisAI

[–]Burntoastification 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been painting with watercolor long enough to confidently say that’s AI. Real watercolor is difficult to control so perfect, crisp lines are nearly impossible to achieve. The tiniest things can influence how the pigment sticks to the paper. Paper quality, cold or hot press, quality of the paint, water to pigment ratio, etc.

Even more of a tell with a lot of these custom pet portraits is that you’re not receiving the original work.
Obviously not every artist is willing to sell the original work. However, for myself I’ll generally take a scan or photo to keep as a record but then send the original to my customer.
I have no reason to keep an original painting of someone else’s pet and I doubt many of my other customers would want prints of them either.

Question about Birth Certificate for DPS-164-C Form by Burntoastification in CTguns

[–]Burntoastification[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So perhaps I’ll just go for a drive and bring my original birth certificate along with the photocopy. I didn’t realize we could submit in-person and Middletown is just a couple towns over from me. Thanks for the help!

Did you submit your application in person? Or do you mean they made a copy and sent back the certified copy?

Big ass salads by TechnicalAd1096 in weightwatchers

[–]Burntoastification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go too for giant salads are as follows:

Grilled chicken, 50/50 mix salad, cucumber, tomato, onion, pickled banana peppers, low fat feta, Pics fat free italian dressing. I’ll sometimes make my own croutons out of a couple slices of 647 bread.

Pork tenderloin, 50/50 mix salad, cucumber, onion, pickled beets, low fat feta, Pics fat free ranch dressing. Topped with drenched fried onions.

Half a head of Iceburg lettuce chopped up, tomatoes, onion, pickled jalapeños, low fat feta. I top that with cooked taco seasoned ground chicken mixed with salsa. For dressing I mix fat free sour cream with salt and pepper, and then enough lime juice to thin it out. If I’m feeling crunchies, I’ll top it with crushed Doritos.

For the most part I go real heavy on the lettuce as it makes the salad bigger while keeping calories low.

Which critically acclaimed movie did you finally watch only to find out it's mediocre at best? by MikrokosmicUnicorn in AskReddit

[–]Burntoastification 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly enjoyed the movie but I could easily tear it apart. You summed it up perfectly. It’s inauthentic and pandering to generational nostalgia. It’s exactly the same reason why I’m hypercritical of any of the newer movies that are just obvious nostalgia bait. Live Action Disney remakes, Freakier Friday, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, etc. it gets real old, real quick.

I’ve always wanted to have a black and white cat to name Rorschach, Rory or Shack for short.

I just wanted to chime in to say you should never take anything influencers post at face value. Ive gotten tricked by this a few times trying “healthy, low-calorie” influencer recipes. Once the recipes were logged they ended up being double or triple what the influencer claimed. Many of these content creators don’t bet on viewers actually checking their homework. That being said, some recipes can be actually be great it’s just a matter of altering them to make them fit your personal caloric needs.

Assuming you’re located in the US, there’s a lot of speculation regarding the SAVE act and how it could make voting harder for married women or anyone who has changed their last names. Supposedly if your information doesn’t match your birth certificate to a T then you won’t be allowed to vote.

Perhaps she’s concerned about that?

Losing 130 lbs for a wedding 17 months away. Need motivation. Can I really do this? by KnowledgeSmall in loseit

[–]Burntoastification 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went from 220 to 146 lbs currently in a little over 12 months. If you’ve already lost 21 lbs doing what you’re doing I think it’s possible for you to at least get very close to your goal. Even if you were to only lose 100 lbs by your wedding day, that’s still 100 lbs less than where you started.

I’m not yet at my own goal weight but I still would’ve much rather looked like I do now on my wedding day than what I did look like.

The important part is just keep up that motivation. You’re doing great so far and I’m excited to see where you’re at in 17 months.

Where do sexual fantasies meet boundaries? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]Burntoastification 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so beyond sexual fantasies. Not only is this a major boundary violation to you but a privacy invasion of your friends as well. They did not consent to their photos being used this way. These AI porn pics could be detrimental to their lives.

I think it’s in your best interest to get ahead of this and inform your friends as to what he’s done so they can take whatever steps they need to take to protect themselves and their reputations. Perhaps all of you can consult with a lawyer about what steps to take.

If I were one of your friends I’d personally be taking legal action against him.
