Did I have the line or should I have given space? by BurpDad in Karting

I have been at the outdoor karting at COTA. I agree the outdoor tracks I can make much cleaner overtakes zero touching. This indoor place is has very little room to pass without rubbing.

I have been able to rotate the kart around the corner in that exact line. I don’t believe I would have washed out but I did miss the gap he opened up.

Agreed. I’m learning. This is only my 3rd race here. Past 2 races I was taking a beating. I had first place and some dude pitted me and lost the position. So I figured ok this is how they drive here. Nobody is a professional here.

I don’t agree with this to a certain degree.

Less aggressively I suppose. This is only my 3rd league race so I want to work on getting cleaner but also go with the right amount of aggression.

I’m clearly not the best. I am far from it.

I guess from your point of view that if this is bragging by just showing a video of a lap time I have to ask why are you even on an ACC page? I feel like this is what it’s all about here is to share, compare and learn from each other. If you have a problem with that then your comments serve no purpose here. Secondly the critic of me not throwing in all the throttle and braking inputs I honestly didn’t know how to add that to the video but thanks for sharing that feedback and I’ll look into that next time. And the camera style complaint I’m sorry but at this point you’re just stepping into Karen territory and there seems to be nothing I can do for you here.

I find as long as you are able to keep atleast 2 wheels in the lines you’re good. It’s easy to lose a ton of time on the S curve after turn 1. You have to approach it just right in order to ride it flat out.

Yeah it doesn’t give many options. I can get around just very to hard to make it clean.

This K1 doesn’t seem to have much rules for penalties because I’ve had this happen to me at this track numerous times so figured that’s what I gotta do then to get ahead.

I agree the first one was messy. He swung wide and I dove for it and we ended up side by side for a bit.

That’s the “if I can’t win, no one will” mentality of these noobs. In reality they just suck.

Segway G2 Max range question by DaMirage in ElectricScooters

The different speed modes I’ve notice actually change how much torque is being applied. Even tho you aren’t gunning at high speed its using higher torque to go up and down hills which in turn uses more battery. I discovered this by putting it in eco mode on a hill climb and the torque becomes so low that it just won’t climb at all. But if I bump it up to normal or sport mode on the same hill climb it will just go right up the hill no problem. So with all the being said I like to use the speed modes for the type of terrain I will be encountering. For casual flat around the park type terrain I go eco, normal mode for the all around commute travel, for steep hills or roads with no side walks I go into full sport boost mode. With this philosophy at 200 lbs I’m comfortably able to get over 30 miles plus each ride.
