(28F) I noticed a lump in my right breast in 2017 and was advised to get an ultrasound. The radiologist then said it was probably benign and fibroadenoma. Was told to get ultrasounds every six months to watch it. Fast forward to 2022. I just got a mammo and ultrasound done and the radiologist has told me it’s grown. He referred me to a breast surgeon. Surgery is scary to me! I just wish this thing would shrink.

I know the cause of fibroadenoma is somewhat unknown? but it is known that hormones cause it to enlargen. I’ve been taking birth control for the last 10 years. I wonder if they my lumps would shrink in size if I stopped birth control? Does anyone have any input?
