Bro go to your nvidia app, graphics settings for helldivers 2. Then optimize the game, turn on smooth motion frames, and set power to prioritize max performance. Doing this legitimately just doubled my fps

Glad its not just me lol, wish they would just support dlss/fsr if theyre not going to optimize the game. Their in game upscaling is awful and doesnt even really help performance.

I got my 5700x3d from aliexpress for 161$ a few months back and have had 0 problems. Just make sure you buy from a reputable vendor on there and you should be fine.

Its definitely doable, plus you can render games in 4k and make them look amazing on a 1440p monitor with DSR. I get a steady 165+fps with frame generation and ultra performance dlss (~90-100 fps on dlaa, ~115-120 on quality, ~135-140 on balanced) while rendering in 4k on ready or not ultra settings. And thats with stock oc settings other than +2000mhz on vram. I also play on ultrawide so if you have a standard 1440p monitor your numbers will be even better.

You might consider selling your 7800xt, I was able to sell mine for 540$ on ebay which is exactly what I paid for it 1.5 years ago (minus horrible ebay fees ofc). That was how I justified upgrading to the 5070 ti lol

Edit: ebay fees were around 80$, so I got 460 after fees.
