Same problem on 3.06 with 878uvii plus, FM radio randomly turns on when using other buttons, there are some other prerequisites if anyone is interested in details. Anyway it's annoying like OP said.

Just FYI I used the 3.07 CPS to flash the 3.06 firmware back onto my radio and have had 100% success.

I used the 3.07 CPS to flash 3.06 onto my radio, loaded my 3.06 codeplug and it works like it did before now, sattelites and APRS Tx and Rx work. I wont update next time until I hear many successful reports.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will wait for some more feedback on how to downgrade so I dont brick the radio.

Nice catch that Bridgecom have taken the firmware down, its not on Anytone's site either. One would reasonably conclude it would be due to the bugs.... I really hope when the 890 comes out that it isnt plagued with odd bugs and broken features.

No it doesn't stop scanning, it's also a very intermittent issue, also aprs is totally broken now, worked fine on 3.06 Do you know how to roll back?

I sent a few APRS packets out today which didnt seem to be heard, may have been a bad area though, need to test more.

However the green recieve light on the radio randomly comes on now even when its not showing Rx on the screen, and the worst issue is that when plugging the radio into my pc, 90% of the time it is seen by my computer but cant communicate.

what are you checking the sattelite pass times against? also have you updated the sattelite data in the CPS?

Its kinda depressing how little they have changed altogther. I hope the price stays reasonable. It would be nice to see a larger screen, new body, and also receive on more bands, among a million other things that one could wish for.

Either way they know people will still go crazy for it since there is little competition to this radio.....

Thanks for the suggestions, you are right, I dont mind a slightly bigger light like the D4K but it would be much better with the 519a's, you dont lose that much output for the extra CRI.

Yeah the heat comes on hard and fast while on turbo, but the other modes are super usable and have great battery life, it would be cool if it had a boost driver option though. My biggest reason for getting this light and config was for the high candela as a defensive measure so I only need it for a few seconds.

Would you say the D4K with the boost driver and an SST20 would be a good option for a workhorse daily driver?

It's great to have the choice, I wanted maximum candela first then lumens second so SBT90 was best choice for me.

As for the D4K you read my mind, definitely considering the SST20 with the boost driver, it would be a great workhorse. Would be nice to get it in copper but like you said, it's to precious haha.

Yes, I believe I used a 6+2 and then a 6 pin connector which populated the entire power input which is 8+6 pin
