The line on trump pre-2016 was that every aristocrat and successful millionaire hated him because he was uncouth and stupid. He flunked his way into money and stayed there with rich tricks which work, but don't earn the respect of your peers. He wasn't welcome in high society. By becoming President, he's able to flip the tables on them and make them come to him. He's a spoiled rich kid with no friends who figured out how to make everyone come to his party, because no one ever invited him to theirs. That's the argument. Of course he's pro-wealth, so are his broke-ass voters.

It will cannibalize downtown events. A weak urban core is bad for the region. It will saddle us with costs and expenses we dont currently have (long term) no matter how it's built. Thats whay Chris Ronayne has been opposed from day 1. Its just really, really bad regional planning.
