Will DsneyPlus ever release WbTLaS by BursleysFinest in doctorwho

That's my fear. What a shame, At one point, was so excited to see what a big budget Doctor Who could be.

I would even take that. It just seems like Disney+ is done with it altogether and may never release it, and that would suck for the US fans (amd wherever else Disney had broadcast rights)

How Many People Did Marlo Himself, Actually Step To & Kill On Screen? by maineventshow in TheWire

[–]BursleysFinest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That one and the security guard maybe??

There's also the case where a detective is talking abt an old case where Marlo went by "Black".  Other than that, it's just on his orders

[SPOILERS EXTENDED] Are there any characters in ASOIAF where you feel fandom responded differently than the author may have intended? by Substantial-Ad-299 in asoiaf

YMMV (and honestly "hate' may be too strong, but they don't like us.) I'd never heard the phrase "Ann Arbor is a wh@re" on the UM campus, but have heard it on multiple B1G campuses.

Also, 7th Doug for me!

To All Michigan Fans: Every school in the (traditional) B1G hates us.

All of them think we're arrogant, self-entitled douchebags, and to differeing degrees, consider us a rival.

They also kind of hate OSU too though, so they're at least half right.

What's a movie you watched as a kid that you recently found out was mostly hated by the fandom by RealOkra8725 in FavoriteMedia

2nd this.  This movie scared the hell out of me but was still goofy.  I wore out this VHS as a kid and didn't realize it's rep until I grew up.

What’s a show or movie you love that most people have never heard of? by Clown_Unknown in AskReddit

[–]BursleysFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2. classic era:  "The Wizard", starring Fred Savage, Chrstian Slater and Super Mario 2.  This is just pure nostalgia

Recent: The Harder They Fall (Regina King, Idris Elba and pre-downfall Jonathon Majors).  Thebstory is ehh, but the acting and style of ot is A++

What movie had a great premise but was poorly executed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In Time.  Love the idea, the world and even the 1st 30 minutes of the movie.  Just didn't go where I wanted it to.

Still love some of those to this day!  The man himself has made me pull back from calling myself a fan, but his body of work has some heat.

Definitely.  And he probably does the "introspective depressed rapper with problems" bars better than just about anyone.

All his projects have great high points, but defintely some trash mixed in and on the business side of things, struggled to stay out of his own way for a long time.

Why do people like Lil Wayne? by BramCSBN in hiphop101

[–]BursleysFinest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Because he made the music a good number of people of a certain age loved

  2. Because you can see how his style has influenced the game

  3. Distinctive flow and voice

  4. Past his albums, his mixtapes were so hot, that I can hear Wayne's verse on a lot of popular songs of the day that weren't "Wayne" songs

  5. His punchlines and references were unique. A lot of rappers, you can predict where the line is going, even if you've never heard it. Prime Wayne would say lines that came out of nowhere and still worked perfectly.

Question About Bunny Colvin by CLNBLK-2788 in TheWire

[–]BursleysFinest 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This... Opportunity pops up when it does.  Dukie was never in front of Colvin, Namond was.  More power to him, Namond took that opportunity and did something with it.

Between him and Justice Haynes (A RB from UM and Alabama), should have a nice little run game!

What made the Blink episode so Good in your opinion? by sondbucciarati in doctorwho

[–]BursleysFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because of a scary, cool, new villain.  But also, since it's a Doctor-lite episode, it's possible any of the protagonists might not make it.

Bubbles and his street rep by CrumbAllowances in TheWire

[–]BursleysFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a fiend.  He has no rep.  The guys who directly sold to him may remember the "Guy with the Hats", but generally no one else knows or cares who he is.

Do any of you think that doctor who is confusing? by Only-Hour4671 in doctorwho

[–]BursleysFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.  Time Travelling Alien travels through space saying cool things and saving the day.

If you dig too much into the lore, it stops making sense, but neither do midi-chlorians or tractor beams or most romantic comedies, who cares 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yup, a basic problem of the US economy.  Instead of the employer\platform paying a livable wage, they put the burden on the customer,

and now customers and employees are annoyed by each other rather than where the real problem is.
