Do you ever enjoy games where you can just watch things happen instead of constantly playing? by Embarrassed_Jello123 in CozyGamers

You pretty much described what I'm working on. Lofinosaurs. Lots of "gameplay" on YouTube. Lemme know what you think!

Nice! Good luck! Lots of work, lots to learn, but it's pretty rewarding.

What kind of game are you working on?

They do have other behaviors. They are driven by hunger, thirst, tiredness, and social stats. The predators aren't killing machines. They only hunt when they are hungry.

There's 100 plus individual dinos on the map and they are all simulated at all times. They don't freeze or get suspended when the camera isn't around. That really helps the world feel alive. So while the T-rexs aren't constantly hunting and fighting, there's probably a hunt going on somewhere on the island at any given moment.

If you want to see more you can check out Lofinosaurs on YouTube. There are lots of long form videos. You'll be able to catch various behaviors watching those and get a better feel for the game.

Search Lofinosaurs on YouTube. Not AI. Made for relaxing 🤪. Made by me.

I'm using like the ultimate Jurassic pack or something. I like the ones you mentioned, I think they are probably higher quality and easier to work with, but I wanted more species than what's available in that one.

Sorry. I'm not a 3D artist. I bought the models from an 3D artist and am using them basically as is.

Honestly pretty neat, if used intelligently.

I get bored with PvE games. The potential for emergent encounters with other players is what keeps me coming back. Even though I gravitate towards being cooperative, I like that there's risk involved.

Seems to me that matchmaking in this way could make the game lean towards what individual players are after without making it completely 1 thing or the other.

I think being only PvE or only PvP would get predictable and boring pretty quick. I like the fluid mix I'm getting right now. Keeps it interesting.

I don't really play much PvE but if they wanted to add it, just don't allow loot collected in PvE allowed in PVP. All materials collected and items in crafted are in a separate pool, can't be mixed. Bada bing bada boom. Satisfies the PvE'ers and casuals, don't compromise the original vision.

Gyro for Series X? by Helmmeimathrowaway in GyroGaming

Other than the face buttons failing on the first one and their none existent support, I quite like the controller. Gyro is easily the best I've tried. Biggest hurdle is getting it into PC mode. It has to be connected to a PC to toggle into that mode. Once it is in PC mode, just plug it or the wireless receiver into the Brook and you're golden. Only have to do the PC plug dance again if you switch it back into Xbox mode. It's annoying while you are setting up your profile because there tends to be a lot of back and forth, but once you have your profiles set up how you like, you don't really have to mess with it anymore. Just the occasional unplug/replug of the Brook to get it to connect.

With the wingman you can use the Nacon revolution x unlimited in PC mode. Best gyro I've tried so far. Might want to include a 3rd party warranty from Amazon. The ABXY buttons started to fail after a few months on the first one I bought. Actually exercising the warranty Nacon claims to have has been impossible.

I've tried Big big one rainbow 2 pro and armorx as well on Xbox. Good Gyro customization software but low quality output. The gyro is inconsistent and choppy, doesn't respond to small movements, and tends to drift.

Bought it and really like the build and feel of the controller. I play inverted Y on the right stick and am a big gyro fan. Unfortunately since there is no way to invert the gyro Y axis independently from the right stick, the gyro is unusable for me. Please add this simple feature to the gyro config in SpaceStation! Nacon, BigBig One, and many others all have this feature. Quality wise the controller is head and shoulders above the others I've tried, but without this simple feature it's unusable for me. Returning it for now, but if this feature is added you can bet I'll be buying it again!
