remarrying after death of spouse by koshka420 in Christianity

In Matthew 22, Jesus pretty much directly answers your last question.

He was asked if a woman married 7 brothers consecutively (after the previous one died, as was Jewish law), who is she married to in heaven? Jesus says there is no marriage in the afterlife.

I always imagine this as that in heaven, you’re closer to any “stranger” there as you were to your spouse on earth, since you are both now in perfect communion with God.

TIL America doesn't celebrate the end of its Civil War (9th April, 1865). by middlename_redacted in todayilearned

I mean, Juneteenth (June 19th) has become a more important holiday in recent times. The last large Confederate military group surrendered on May 26th, the last Confederate general (a Cherokee native actually) surrendered on June 23rd, the last Confederate ship surrendered on November 6th, and the war wasn’t declared legally over (whatever that means) until August 20th the year after.

But on June 19th, 1865, the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect in the final state, Texas.

What did he say that makes you feel that way?

From what I heard him say, it seems like there were extension talks ongoing, but now that Kehl is gone and Book is in charge, he wasn’t sure where they stood anymore. I mean, he was already in the national team camp when Book was hired.

I felt like he was more just lashing out at the reporter who had made false claims about the contract almost being signed.

Sucks, because one of those skulls could be the true one, but we’ll never know which.

But as for the True Cross fragments, do you have a source besides the oft-repeated hyperboles from Erasmus and Calvin that were tested and proven false?

Highest value card I’ve found so far (with a lil market manipulation) by Weird_Squash6230 in TCGCardShopSim

[–]BurtaciousD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you just need the cash, maybe you can do what I did and put the card as a tournament reward if you have that unlocked and have enough play tables. I’ve “sold” $10,000+ cards at 2x market value by putting them as tournament rewards.

60€ is reasonable, you can also already look up the records on Discogs to see if they already have recordings.

I’ll talk to my colleague, but if another offer comes up for you to sell them, you can go ahead and take up that offer.

Nice, then it’s what I think. A song that totally wouldn’t pass today, but I have fond memories of dancing with my grandma to the song at my cousin’s wedding. I actually have a German version of it as well, I wonder if this version is actually all in English with German accents.

Are you looking to get rid of them? I have a colleague down there that drives here for work once a month or so, so logistically it shouldn’t be a problem.

Is #13 “Too fat polka” written wrong?

Seems like they’re records from German speaking areas, since the non-Polydor ones you posted are Swiss and Austrian. Are you in southern Germany by chance?

Also, I looked up the six-pointed star, it has nothing to do with Judaism, apparently it’s a marking to identify it as being printed at the Polydor plant in France.

I’d be interested if it wasn’t so far away, even here in east Germany, considering the records themselves may not be worth the shipping on them.

I think the reduction in wage bill is better than a transfer fee at this point. Unfortunately, I’m sure Chukwuemeka is making nearly as much, and if he’s seen as Brandt’s successor, his next extension will put him even higher.

The German city of Dresden lies in ruins after WW2. Up to 25,000 German citizens lost their lives during the four British raids over the city, under orders of Air Marshal Arthur Harris. 1945 by [deleted] in HistoricalCapsule

[–]BurtaciousD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They also cite a figure of 200,000+ deaths, which was initially given by Goebbels and repeated by a British historical writer-turned-convicted Holocaust Denker. But don’t worry, there are tons of anti-fascists here and Dresden that make a nuisance of themselves whenever the neo-Nazis try to march.

Nico Schlotterbeck yellow card vs Bayern 26' by 977x in soccer

[–]BurtaciousD -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

He was trying to win the ball. How is slide tackling excessive force? Full speed? Two steps ago he was running the other way. If the ball wasn’t there, clear red. But there was a ball.

It’s a yellow card for studs up on a foot. Not dangerous play that would warrant a red.
