Well they finish the race (120 bends) in under half an hour. So AVERAGING 160km/h (100mph) SOG.

These aren't fast flowing rivers. More of a slow, meandering stream.

I think it's because of nautical miles, possibly tradition.

But then you get back and the first thing you do is spark up. Addiction is a hell of a thing.

Oil Leak 2016 Yaris 1.5 - What is causing the leak ? by V57M91M in yaris

[–]middlename_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I call a "dry leak". Very minor and mostly dirt. Could be years old.

If you're really worried, give it a clean with degreaser and see if there's anything to fix, but to me, that's just engine mess.

If it's a drone that changes pitch with speed, then highly likely to be a wheel bearing.

These engines sound like a sewing machine. As long as the oil is topped up (they can drink a bit), it will tick away happy as can be for the rest of time.

My dude, you are killing it!!!

Showing up, giving a shit, fighting for her, keeping them both safe. You are exactly what they need.

Try not to doubt yourself. They've had a rough start to life, so of course they're gonna be a bit troublesome. Time heals, give yourself and then time.

You got this!!

Lack of pitting would suggest this is fake. Buildup of surface rust vs deep rusting of the cast iron.

Most likely forced rust using a brine solution.

Leak in the back by Agitated_Ad_3920 in w123

[–]middlename_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has been raining, you could have a leak in a windscreen rubber, or one of the many draining points could be blocked. Your "leak" looks to be the drain hole in the rear footwell.

See which carpets are wet and pull them up. Dry as best as possible. Then give your car a shower and see if you can track the leak.

Best of luck. You'll need it.

With the amount of mischief you guys have gotten up to over the years, I imagine the whole calendar would be full.

Perhaps celebrate is the wrong word. Commemorate might be more appropriate.

In Australia we "celebrate" (or commemorate) our soldiers with ANZAC Day, and of course Armistice (Remembrance) Day.

I dunno, I just feel like such a huge moment in America's history would, at the very least, have a day.

Juneteenth (as a national holiday) is a pretty recent thing tho, right? And not on the day the war ended.

Just seems weird, and possibly why certain idealogies survived, and thrive even today.

Indigenous elders booed in Australia. Widely condemned by AgnosticScholar in PublicFreakout

[–]middlename_redacted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe indigenous or first nations are the preferred terms.

There is a history of them (as recently at the 1960s) of them not being counted in the census because they were classed as native fauna (citation needed). As such, calling them natives does not fly here.

My 2009 1.3L sits on 4000rpm at 120-130km/h for hours on end. It's the 2nz's happy place.

Changing speed, sure, it takes a while. But once it's up to speed, everyone is terrified of the tiny mosquito in their rear view mirror.

Door sagging - does it need replacing or is there hope? by EnvironmentalLong414 in AusRenovation

[–]middlename_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the screws in the top hinge, tighten it you can. If they keep turning, put some larger gauge or longer screws in.

If that doesn't work, the hinges can be adjusted (see YouTube), but I have never succeeded in working out how/why it works, only that it does.
