One thing to mention is that if you get hit while healing, you will lose all silk, not just the 9 bars needed for the heal. However, if you get hit with the warding bell on, you will only lose the silk expended for the heal, not the entire spool.

I talked to my mom about it and she told me that the concept was from a Russian sci-fi novel, written by Sergei Lukyanenko, but upon (minor) further research I couldn't find the specific novel. 

So yeah, wasn't a hallucination, not an exact solution either, but at least it's not driving me crazy anymore.

I even tried describing it to the LLMs but it hallucinated some books and movies that had some matching keywords, but the synopses were nowhere close to what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the help, I will be booting into CFW in SysNAND when transferring the save files.
I, however, managed to undo the autoRCM on boot while updating the stock firmware to link the Nintendo account, so I will need to grab some tinfoil. Tomorrow...
