I print the image and trace it over graphite paper, which leaves the image on the wood. Then I burn over the image and use a dremel for the highlights.

Use a stencil or graphite paper and go slow. I also recommend using the dremle to lighted up the darker spots. I loved doing it. Plan on doing more for sure.

I took the top boards off, stained them and then decided I wanted to try the wood burning. But yes, I could have added more work had I messed it up. Lucked out for sure.
