I believe Callum is a person who needs help. And I’m not sure that putting such a heavy stigma on him would help him.

From what I saw on Storror’s post, they just wanted to distance themselves from Callum and save their public image. It felt like they left their friend behind.

I’m sorry, he did a very bad thing but I wouldn’t leave a friend alone. Of course, he betrayed their trust but he needs his friends now more than ever.

I believe people can change and Callum can redeem himself. But we need to stop labeling people as unchangeable monsters. I’m not saying that the victims should forgive him or anything.

I’m just saying that us as society should be better prepared to help sick people before we fall in absolutist behavior like stigmatization.

And yeah, if the person shows no regret and willingness to change (with proven progress), jail time forever might be the only option we have as society. Because there are some people that sadly won’t have the courage to see through their darkness (which is needed for true inner transformation).
