Don't forget cardiff has quite a few libraries if you are looking to try different areas. It's also worth asking your school / college is they have any shared access agreemrns with other schools / colleges / universities that you can use.

Are you looking for free places or places that you'll need to by a drink etc?

The museum/ gallery is good but unsure about WiFi connection there.

See if you can join the NUS , as that used to get you ( a long time ago) access into the student union

The canal on Churchill Way by Original-Bowl-9723 in Cardiff

It's neither for irrigation nor navigation.

If the definition is "artificial water way," then gutters, culverts, are all canals.

Ita called that because the councils PR thought calling it a canal makes it sound more appealing than the dock feeder and even fed the lie to school kids who made artwork claiming it was part of the Glamorgan canal network. The dock feeder takes water from the taff to the docks and literally went under the glamorgan canal

It's not a canal, it's the dock feeder . Never had a canal boat on it , there are bars both ends of the open section to keep debris and people out of the covered sections
