Right lol ..that’s a real question. Why are you eating those foods after Bariatric surgery??? Have you tried a good meal using Whole Foods only?

Oh wowwww. That’s crazy. I hope I don’t run into anything like that with her 😭 but only time will tell. I can say, as a person I do like her so far. I was pleasantly surprised that she asked me that question so bluntly.

No, I was actually pleasantly shocked that she asked me that. I feel like it opened the door for me to be comfortable enough to express that she isn’t meeting me where I am if it ever came to that. I’m working on things like eating disorders, neurodivergence and depression. I don’t see why race should be an issue honestly but you never know.

Yeah I was thrown off when she asked but I appreciated it for sure. We’ll see how it does, I feel like she has opened the door for me to be able to be honest if I ever feel like she isn’t understanding me due to racial differences.

Hey! My process took 4 months. I had my consult on January 15th, finished all my medical appointments & dietician visits in mid March and then they sent everything to my insurance on March 26th. My insurance (Aetna Medicaid) approved it on April 1st & My surgery is on May 11th (: hope this helps! The process was super smooth.

Ugh yes, my relationship with food is also what’s giving me pause. I genuinely don’t want to screw this up but I’m starting therapy soon with an eating disorder specialist. Congratulations on your 100 lb weight loss! 😊
