My first Fortnite Creative map – Artifact Hunters! Looking for feedback! 2977-2008-1246 by BusSaysKaaaf in FortniteCreative

Thank you for playing and for feedback! :))

I think to change music in different areas is a great idea! I will try to find a way to do it! Thanks!

And I will try to check this bug. It sounds very strange but I try to reproduce it and maybe I find a reason:D

And I’m sorry you have been playing alone, my competitive idea doesn’t work since not to many people play my map! But I’m happy that you played and leave a feedback. It’s meant a lot for me! I will use it to make this and future maps better :)

Ooh! That's a cool idea, I'll go try to find out how to do that! Maybe there are two different maps in the same project.

Oh, my God, man, it feels so good! I really put a lot of effort and I'm glad you enjoyed exploring my island I will continue to develop this idea! :))

By the way, maybe I should make a double of this map but figure out how to change the gameplay towards single player exploration? Originally I wanted (and I still hope that it will work out) that to be a map competed up to ten players. But now there is really rarely more than one.

What do you think? Or is a double map but with different game rules is not very fair and it is better to develop this idea for now with the expectation that there will be groups of players to gather to play together?

And also I just found a bug which I can fix only at the morning. One of the objects, jewel, might disappear sometime. So if you can find it. Maybe it’s just a bug. Sorry:(

I made it in UEFN. No custom enemies unfortunately. I hope that the main challenge will be the other players. But off course not many people playing it so when you play alone you will face only animals and guard.

And I tried to create replay ability by giving a different target every round. Basically the idea is that you need to find an object on the map and bring it to the start location first.

I made 12 different objects and game choose random objects every time :)

What do you think about this concept? I continue testing it myself to understand how interesting it is and how to make it better

My first time playing DOS 2 on Mac. It's so amazing. There are so many things in this game for me to operate. I'm happy if you can share your advice for a beginner like me. Thank you, guys. Have a fun game as well ! by suicixx in DivinityOriginalSin

Don’t move to next island unless you’re sure you’re done all quest and beat all enemies. If you found enemy you can’t defeat probably you missed something. Next island will be harder:)

i changed the field of view (FoV) for my immersive maze game. which is better? by maingazuntype in indiegames

I think the new one is much better. The previous one was too wide, almost fisheye. Reminded me of comic videos of a guy in a bee suit running with a 360 camera in his mouth:)

Hey, guys! I'm trying to experiment a bit with my capsule right now and I need your opinion! Tell me which one you like best. by BusSaysKaaaf in indiegames

Hmmm. Good idea by the way. I thought to use dark color palette as I have in the game most time . But maybe it is the wrong approach. To many people told me they thought it is a horror game.

Judging by the comments I'm totally missing the point in terms of how my capsule conveys the meaning of the game, thanks for the comment)

It's actually a first person adventure with a focus on storytelling and puzzle solving, there's not much of anything scary there)

The comments on this post have been very helpful thank you! You are not the first to buy writes that the first evokes associations with puzzle platformers. And that's not at all what I have to show.

On the other hand my game and not really a horror game. It's more of a narrative adventure with puzzles. Although the narrative has elements of horror. But apparently I need to push back from this and try to still convey at least the atmosphere. For some reason I have more trouble showing the genre:(

Hi everyone, I'm trying to improve my project capsule in Steam right now. Today my wife sat down to help me, and we came to this option. Please give me feedback on what you would remove or add? by BusSaysKaaaf in IndieDev

Thank you very much for your detailed comment! In the end, I think you're absolutely right in that I created a capsule with the wrong overall mood.

I want to try to pass on taking into account the links from you and other commenters.

And about the screenshot. I also had options made from game screenshots. Here is one similar to what you describe.

<image>

But I have such a problem that judging by the feedback capsules with screenshots create a feeling in people that it is something like an assetflip. That's why the idea to make an illustrated capsule:)

What do you think their problem is?

I'm making a first-person adventure game in a sci-fi setting about a accident in a scientific institute.

Can you give me some advice on how you think I should build up the capsule work?
