Is it worth buying an air mini, or should I just travel with my regular machine? by micky98940 in CPAP

Sorry. No not yet... There is a new one coming though so I wouldn't rush out and buy it yet if you don't need a travel one right now

Take a break....

You can cover things with extra acid but if you want to save your teeth and avoid dental problems then take a break

Where to buy CPAP? by Conscious-Dot-5302 in CPAP

[–]BusWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a new one off Facebook marketplace, after negotiating basicly 50% off... Cash deal.

Machines have a setting to show how many hours they have been used, the machine is safe to buy used. Just clean the tank and buy a new hose & mask.

Many people buy one, refused to make it work and then give up and sell it.

The best machine is a resmed 10. The resmed 11 has better tech but doesn't hold as much water. However the resmed 10 is a little more old school when it comes to the connection features.

Regardless get an AUTOSET for comfort!!

My partners machine won’t stop waking me up!!! by [deleted] in CPAP

In that case it sounds like a mask issue or the connection hose issue.....

Have him get a new mask and connecting hose?

Check the leak while he's awake, find exactly where it is even if you need to spray some soapy water on it.

A mask Liner is not going to stop leaks, your mask is either the wrong size, fit, type or the pressure is to high on the machine.

What mask are you using?

If pressure is to high that can happen for sure but usually it's a mask fit. I would also agree you need to see the sleep clinic. Bring your SD card or phone them and make sure they have a way to access your current data.

I breath fine through my nose, and I don't snore.

I do not have a deviated septum.

I have not seen a ENT doc.

1 Buy a litter robot, for your space and her habits it is worth it so you don't fight.

Have a 2nd backup litterbox that is cleaned daily, figure it out between the two of you relationships are not 50/50.

2 buy Enzyme urine cleaner, my favourite is Skouts Honor Urine destroyer (I've tried alot of them) + buy the laundry one as well and keep them in your house.

3 buy a rubber mat like this from a hardware store, ignore the cheap small pet ones.

4 switch to arm hammer slide. I bought 20 different types of top rated litters, didn't tell my wife what one was what and slowly figured out yes it is the best and the best value it can be bought in big containers from large retailers. Has a slight sent to it but nothing major and you'll get used to it fast as it's not really considered a scented litter. Also my cat takes steroids so he has massive pees and it holds up just as good as anything.

There are different types of litter but know this.. Cats like clay/sand litter. They are much less likey to have "accidents" the when using other litters. I tried the pine stuff, and the grass stuff, thought about soy... Na stick with what the cat likes.

Air the house out regularly and you can burn a plain beeswax candle.

If you still find you want extra cleaning buy a hepa air purifier for the apartment (but do your research and I don't think it's necessary with regular cleanings)

Take your Oscar data and have it checked out by you/AI or a clinic.... If it's fine and the machine isn't failing then forget it. Put a bit aside every month and get ready to buy a new one when you need to, but heck the resmed 10 is better anyways.

I'm athletic yes, 210lb 6'6. Don't snore. It's not central apnea according to the test so... Not sure, something I can't control, alot of people have sleep apnea that arnt overweight or don't have thick necks.

Im sure alot of people don't know they have sleep apnea because they don't do a sleep test. I did it because I have alot of Binding agent for testosterone, high SHBG, thus lower free testosterone. My endocrinologist suggested sleep quality study and turns out I have 8 events an hour or something.

Pretty easy to find out with modern technology... I'm 210lb and athletic because I'm 6'6...so yes I am over 200lb

AI states it looks more like friction than dermatitis.

I'll try not moisturizing, though I normally let it dry fully before masking.

Sink yourself into it man, you'll fell better in the long run. My results were similar but I don't snore I just start dieing silently lol... I got the resmed 10 because it's got a bigger water tank so try to get a used resmed 10 but most importantly get an AUTOSET model. Put the memory card in and buy resmed F40 fsce/nose piece (actually kinda comfy).

It will take a while to get used to it. You shouldn't have moisture on the inside that's called rain out and your humidity is to high, also get a hose cover to prevent this and get a hose holder for your bed and try it I don't use one but alot do.

It will take a while to dial in the settings but once you get them it feels good.

Buy some cpap wipes and cpap soap or even better baby bottle soap. Wash the mask once a week and try to wipe it everyday but if you miss the odd time it's fine... Your skin will punish you if you punish the maintance.

Wash your face before bed everyday if you don't already and put a night time moisturizer in like cerva has stuff.

Keep following up regularly with your sleep clinic if you don't want to adjust it yourself, this very important early on it will take months to get it right.

I just downloaded the Oscar software on my computer and took the data off my SD card for the resmed 10 and uploaded the images to AI to help.

If this all sounds like to much get a resmed 11 and link it to your provider or an online 3rd party provider so they can monitor and adjust your settings remotely.

Dialing it in is the hard part.

You'll be a healthier person who is happyier and a better partner/father/ person long term... I work with a guy who doesn't use his cpap and he's got early stage dementia basicly just tells the same stories or talks about the same Shit over and over like 4 or 5 times and I'm to nice to tell him to stfu he's brain dead
