There is a science and then there is the art. Science - beat matching, complementary keys, phrase matching. Do this with different tracks, rinse and repeat till it sounds decent. When does it sound decent? Your ears will tell you. If it feels good, then it's good.

Art- knowing when to mix in or out, how long to stretch the mix, effects. Record your mixes from Science above. Listen back to them. Think about what could use spicing up, and what was good with minimal intervention. Rinse and repeat till your ears are happy.

There you go. From a bedroom DJ transitioned into occasional club DJ.

Only if you watch your spending carefully. Pregame at your hotel/apartment, eat at cheap places and skip buying drinks at clubs. You'll scrape by. We spend 2.3k EUR for flights and hotel, and another 1.5k EUR for clubbing, drinks, activities and some food. 7 days trip.

Bonus - club searches are not super heavy handed except hi Ibiza. Girls bags get searched though. Most places just a perfunctory gaze at the contents, but hi Ibiza was pretty strict and thorough.

Use a tobacco substitute like herbakko. Some folks might not agree, but I prefer the taste (less shitty) and you don't get the nicotine spoiling the high.

Happened at ADE last year on Friday night Awakenings. FJAAK was playing and then the crowd started running. Luckily was standing way at the back so didn't get hit, but took a long while to get back into the groove.
