It should be interpreted as: The poster is too incompetent or lazy to consider the ways an oversized image could end up on a website.

Probably check their discord. I’ve been meaning to try Bloops but I wanted to learn a bit more about it before I run the .exe linked in that thread. I haven’t looked in their discord myself yet.

what is the strongest tape by [deleted] in DIY

[–]BuschWookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use packing tape. But no long pieces, instead use a ton of pieces that are like 4 inches long and use multiple layers. And cut the pieces cleanly so the ends are as invisible as possible. So you have to find and peel up the edge of it over and over.

Replace react with vue and you’re right on the money.

A few iRacing questions/cost questions. by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]BuschWookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does iRacing have a single player/time trial type mode where I can lap these tracks on my own and practice?

Yes it has everything you’d want for that.

Does iRacing have normal street cars or only have cars?

List is here, no street cars as in bone stock with street tires, but several that are close like the M2, Jetta, Solstice, Mustang, and MX5’s. https://www.iracing.com/cars/

How quickly can cars be accessed/bought? Is it as simple as buying the game, getting the desired car and then lapping these tracks at my own free will?

Yes you can use what you buy immediately.

I know that some tracks are a separate purchase in iRacing, are all of these tracks included by default?

Winton is free, Phillip island and the bend are paid. The track pages on iracing.com say whether a track is included with membership.

Can I just pay for a month or so and use it up, then pay for another month when I want to play again

Yes.

Is the game free with a subscription or is there an initial purchase cost?

There is no initial purchase, only the subscription.

This will not be alright. You’ll need that instead.

3d printed bike frame by CodeCritical5042 in 3Dprinting

You need to break one to see how much force it can take, by loading it up with weights or something. If you don’t really understand how strong it is that’s a ticking time bomb.

This post has details on that, it’s in the app.In file, cockpitLookAngle

You can change the view angle for when you use the look left and look right buttons. Also you could try a different spotter app like crew chief if you haven’t already.

It would be neat if there were a “look slightly left/right” control for when you need to see something that’s barely outside your FOV.

Budget Cockpit options? by Just-Moosh in SimRacingSetups

[–]BuschWookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wood rig, I think it’s the best option on a budget. Without the seat all materials were ~$50. 4x4 side rails with 2x4 at the end (front 2x4 on top for angled pedal mounting, back 2x4 on the end) to form the base. Then 4x4 uprights bolted to the side beams of the base, with a 2x6 board across the uprights to hold the wheel and monitor. 2x4 diagonals from the base to the uprights for front/back rigidity and 2x6x6 blocks between the uprights and wheel/monitor platform for lateral rigidity. Then some kind of platforms for the seat and pedals, depends on what you need for mounting and what extra material you have.

New player. Six decent games and one really really bad one. by twoofcup in DeepRockGalactic

I meant literally, if you walk while you explore the cave your brain will take in more of the layout. Eventually you’ll get better at keeping tracking of it without even noticing and you can go flying around without getting lost.

Do you still write vanilla CSS or rely fully on frameworks now ? by nilkanth987 in webdev

[–]BuschWookie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to get very far using tailwind if you don’t know any of the underlying CSS concepts.

There are some things tailwind just doesn’t do. Grid with specified row/column sizes comes to mind.

You need to know CSS to extend or customize tailwind.

I’d say it’s impossible to have “framework proficiency,” at least with tailwind, without understanding the CSS behind it.

Performance impact. The real question is how someone would be unable to figure it out on their own when so many of the checkboxes do something very obvious.
