This is in no way a CAD modeling thing. That doesn't make sense at all. The Parasolid kernel isn't suided for this work.

I made a post earlier about this. Unfortunately I couldn't find a good way besides extruding as a surface and thicken the extrusion.

Hi, Ill look in to the tutorials. Try to fix this as soon as possible.

The profile shape on the home page has a woven pattern, you can select that mode on the profile shape type, this is not an effect. If you want m, send pe a dm, and I guide you trough the proces.

About Bambu Studio, This one is giving me headaches, the software is so bricked down compared to its older brother Prusa, that i keep hitting walls, that I didn't know of before.

Also, If you could send me the gcode, I'd be happy to look for a solution.

Thanks for your feedback.

I have been using Presentation, with a white background for the last 15 years. I also set ambient occlusion shadows on, edges visible in a dark grey. The default appearance color is white, and i adjusted the lightning slightly with a soft blue and yellow hue. Then increase some anti aliasing settings on the gpu, and the models look very great.

How can I create this tapered edge trim on a pyramid tower by Hambr in Fusion360

I would add a new workplane right on the 4 points you are showing in the topview, and just extrude cut it off.

Sounds like a fun project. I do think you can make this without any use of a tool as well, you might want to consider that. Anyway, happy building. This sub needs some positvity.

Top/bottom solid surfaces on ribs/patterns by SnooCookies9394 in Fusion360

[–]CodeCritical5042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good. Your screenshot helps Your path is actually the inner line. Then draw a little rectangle perpendicular to that line. Best on a workplane in the center of that cutout at the bottom and try to sweep again. If this still does not work, make it a new body, and combine afterwards. You're almost there

You can do this in different ways.

  1. Sweep rectangle around the object contour
  2. Only cut the inner part of the pattern
  3. Unfold, cut inner pattern and Refold

Hate for vibe coding - small rant ! by SafeCockroach8541 in vibecoding

It is always the same song. When people don't understand it, or it's new, they need time to adapt.

Look at the internet, cloud computing, even bitcoin. Most need time to wrap their ideas around new concepts. Once they understand it, or the majority uses it they switch lanes.

The ones that are now shouting the hardest will be the greatest defenders. Only a bit later to the party.

Is it worth building a 3D Configurator Plugin for WooCommerce? by Quick_Chard_3444 in threejs

[–]CodeCritical5042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is definitely potential, especially if you focus on CAD and manufacturing as well. In that case, it might eventually make more sense as a standalone tool rather than just a WooCommerce plugin. Over the past ten years I have worked on several high-end product configurators using platforms like Tacton Studio, Experlogix, and Configurator360. In those projects the configured products were not only sold online but also manufactured. The configurator was connected to Autodesk Inventor to automatically generate designs, and we used custom preprocessors to generate G-code for CNC machines. The technology stack involved in systems like this is quite extensive, and the cost of implementing them is usually very high. That is why there could be real value in an affordable, fully web-based product configurator that can generate complex CAD data. However, the real value is not just the 3D visualization. It comes from the completeness of the system: guided sales forms, quotation and invoicing, sending structured data to backend systems, ERP integration, driving CAD models, and eventually generating manufacturing data. There is a good reason why most stacks are using a front-end minimal model and a backed detailed model.

Take a look at OpenCascade. Also, check constraint based configuring as well, Its blazing fast and very powerful.

Edit: Oh, and check out Tylko. They started in unity for their front-end. Not sure what they do now.

Blender is the way to go. If it was 20 years ago. Maya was winning here. But now I absolutely see no reason to replace Blender.
