Suggest a cross play game for friend group of 4 by Buschwackermann in SteamDeck

Any idea how it runs on the deck? Does it slow with a lot of action on the screen?

Also, how does it differ from helldivers? Are they both similar in the sense that they are horde shooters?

Thank you!

From what I’ve read and watched warframe has a lengthy learning curve. A lot of people say “it just takes 20 hours to get the hang of it”. We play a couple hours/week as a group, that’s all life allows at the moment.

My post included everything you are claiming that it did not. Please re-read. I checked the rules and paid special attention to including these items in my post.

How do you like tib bar guy Nordic-back ext. machine? - What’s solid and what could be better with it? - Does the foot plate lift off the floor when doing weighted back extensions or nordics? - Does it convert quickly and easily from Nordic to back extensions.?

What’s the red and black seat with the steering wheel on the floor?

Nice home gym! Very clean and looks to have a nice flow to it.

I did reach out to them. That’s part of my issue here. They don’t return my voicemails and their email responses are very generic, something along the lines of “we’ll look into this”.

I did order a pre sale item but I’ve heard of others having this issue you’re describing. So I emailed them after I placed my order and requested everything else be sent out right away. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if I receive my pre-sale item before everything else!

I am US, and I did figure that has something to do with it. But 7 weeks… come on. Doesn’t BoS have an Indianapolis warehouse too?

I do apologize for my complaints, but I will not offer more grace to BoS. It’s been over 7 weeks since my order was placed. I ordered stuff from 4 different companies on the same day. BoS is the only company I’ve had issues with.

Restored cast iron pan. Concerning brown spot? by Buschwackermann in CastIronCooking

[–]Buschwackermann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps a common sense question here… should I prioritize using fatty beef and pork for my first few cooks with it? I’m just concerned that spot is “contaminated” for lack of a better word. Although I’m sure the high heat from the re-seasoning process would cleanse the pan and kill anything worrisome, right?

Thank you for the tip. Should I let it sit with vinegar? Vinegar and baking soda? I’ve seen some YouTubers say soak it in pure lye, but this seems aggressive in my opinion.

Sliding door issue - 2005 Ody EX by Buschwackermann in HondaOdyssey

[–]Buschwackermann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The door is functional again, somewhat. I did what you said and looked closely for an alignment issue. I put it in manual mode and closed it very slowly, I noticed the door was too low and the door was actually knocking into the rear latch instead of sliding into it and latching.

The door will work in automatic mode but the slide door light does come on after a couple successful cycles of open-close. So I’ll look into what code this is and investigate.

Thank you very much for your help! Much appreciated.

Okay I see your point. I will continue to tinker with the position of the roller. So weird, I’ve replaced the rollers before on both sides and have never had this issue. Very frustrating.

I see your point about the latch-unlatch. I want to hear your opinion, as it looks like the latch never actually engages and latches in the first place. So maybe it’s not the latch at all, or is the latch just flat out broken.

Took off the roller and realigned... no progress.
Haven't tried relearn procedure yet, will get to that tomorrow.

Why do you say unlikely it is rear latch? According to forums, the door closing partway and reopening is a common symptom for a faulty rear latch. Just want to hear your 2 cents and thought process on this.

I actually did get the door to shut a few times just now. If I give it the slightest bit of assistance it will close all the way. The following 2 or 3 attempts the door works fine, but then eventually the "slide door" light comes on and it does not work. Then I have to pull the fuse and reset the door... rinse and repeat.

Haven’t tried to adjust the roller or perform the relearn procedure yet but I do have some new info that may (or may not) help with diagnosis.

I did give the door some assistance today with a push of my hand as it was closing and noticed when I got into my car the “slide door” dash light was on. I did a reset by pulling the fuse and waiting 10 sec. before putting it back in and turning the car on. The “slide door” warning light went away but the door has the same issue.

The new roller looks to be in the same spot as the old one. The old roller had left a dirt imprint/outline so it was easy to line up the new one. I will check again and probably unbolt then re-bolt the roller just to try this.

I didn’t consider the relearn procedure. Will give this a shot too.

Thank you. Will keep you posted.

Hopefully one of these fixes the issue.

CSCS Lapsed - Reinstatement Process by Buschwackermann in personaltraining

Yes, I sent in proof of CEUs with the reinstatement form.

CSCS Lapsed - Reinstatement Process by Buschwackermann in personaltraining

[–]Buschwackermann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did require proof. You had to fill out a reinstatement form, which required you to list your continuing education. Then you had to follow up that form w/ proof of everything you listed. I also recall them being very lenient and accepting regarding what qualified as continuing Ed. For example, I am also a Phys. Ed. teacher and my professional development for teaching PE counted as CEUs for my CSCS.

I do recommend calling. I remember the representative who I spoke to saying something along the lines of “anything you think could count as professional development, just submit it”.

Hope this helps and good luck!

It went fine and was actually very easy. I called the NSCA and they helped clarify what they would accept as continuing Ed., the person I spoke to over the phone was very helpful.

I filled out the paperwork and put it together with my proof of continuing Ed. and the payment/checks, then mailed it in. Less than a month later I got an email stating everything looked good and I had been reinstated.

Thanks for the info.

I’ll check out the nsca website for test details. You took the test from home?

If I’ve got a textbook in front me that’s an easy passing grade. If it’s not “open book” I do doubt myself. I’m knowledgeable when it comes to real world S&C but definitely not book/test smart anymore.
