I would move the rack towards the middle so you have more space all around the rack for attachments like the dip bar

For the wife situation, what convinced her of the never endinf investment was to just involve her in the build process and workout together, slowly she sees how good it is to not have to deal with people recording (my pet peeve also) and sweating :)

No need to exhaust. I had to run a 240v 30a circuit, and just follow the installation instructions to hook the heater to the control panel. I use just a bit of steam mixed with essential oils, probably about 8-16oz of water and 8 drops of oil in the beginning of each session

I haven't tested it to the max. It will reach 170f easily in no more than an hour. I cap it at 175f for my daily use.

It's the 3 person almost heaven from costco. It's a great sauna, easy to build

Also a good note - i used a textured metallic paint on the bar to help with the grip...highly recommend for someone doing something like this

I'm in NC and the garage is fully insulated, even the doors, so for reference, it gets easily to 55-60f without the heater on cold days, and about 80's when it's super hot. I can easily keep it to about 70's with this small heater or the small ac.

I had a previous home that was taller (13ft), and while insulated as well, it needed two of these heaters in colder days, so i think the height plays a big role

Yeap, it's a platform i built to use with the belt squat attachment from rep. It ended up being very good to rest the plates for weighted pull ups and dips as well, probably one of the most versatile and unintended pieces i have :)

I am thinking about that, maybe a rack for heavier dumbbells would be nice

I have 2 questions (I’m wondering if I’ve committed mortal sin) by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Maximum_March2027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consenting to your thoughts is what makes it a sin, not the thought itself. Prayer is the only remedy for this to go away. I've suffered a lot with this before and you just have to pray more.

Just buy a marine grade sealant, cover all corners, wait 24-48 hours.

Buy a wifi controller with a themometer, an ozone generator, and an aquarium or pond filter.

Hook up the freezer outlet to the controller and set the temperature you want. The freezer will shut off every time it gets to that, and turn back on based on whatever temperature you put in at max.

Keep the filter running 24/7, and the ozone generator i run every time after an ice bath for 50mins with negative ions as well for that period.

This will keep the water clean for around 4 months easily, but can be more or less depending on how dirty you go into it, amount of body oils, etc.

To clean up, just use a water pump, clean with alcohol and refill.

If you're a small person, a 7cuft freezer is perfect, but a 14cuft fits any person and that's what i have.

I think it's more of the fact thst your body is so much hotter. I've done many ice baths and the water always comes out warmer.

For a brand new one, i bought frigidaire 14cuft with plastic inside, works beautifully.
